Found the problem with bug in Play by Play...

I was playing my game, and saw this message in the Play by Play:


CHI 18 Player punted 44 yards from the CHI19.
NYG 39 Sanders returned the ball 2 yards to the NYG39.
Tackled by CHI 56 Kreutz.
Extra point by NYG 14 Kasay was good.

Obviously that looks wrong, no TD, but extra point, and it being reflected on the game scoreboard. Also, since the message appeared ultra-quick, a score was indicated (anyone else notice that?)

Since something was wrong, I checked the game log, which showed this:

4-07-CHI19 (02:31) CHI 18 Player punted 44 yards from the CHI19.
NYG 39 Sanders returned the ball 2 yards to the NYG39. Tackled by CHI 56 Kreutz.
Ball was fumbled and recovered by NYG 56 Harvey for 61 yards and a touchdown!
Extra point by NYG 14 Kasay was good.

This shows that the PBP isn't showing things, but the actions are being recorded somewhere (in this case the game logs)...it isn't a "phantom" TD, but instead is not being shown in the PBP.

Same thing with my last second FG in OT. I attempted it, and then it shot straight to the game MVP. But looking in the game logs, it is there.

That bug existed in FOF2 as well. Happens any time the kicking team recovers a fumble and returns it for a touchdown. The only annoying thing is you don't know who to credit the great play to until pulling up the box score.
