Seems somewhat interesting:

Computer said Minnesota was on the clock and I didn't realize at first that the draft was over

I am pretty sure this bug was also present in FOF2k1 and FOF4.

I am pretty sure this bug was not so present in FOF2.

Could this be some sort of undocumented "supplemental draft" pick?

A longshot, but seems at least possible.

Does this really amount to anything substantivem though? A one-year deal with a guy that nobody bothered to draft?

Technically, you ought to have to go through the post-draft FA process to get this eal... but it's not like it's either (a) a really good player, or (b) a really favorable contract -- either o which might have some material effect on the actual game.

I'm not saying it's not a bug... just making sure we've got it in perspective.

uh ????
I don't see how it would be anything but a bug.

As far as the supplemental Draft picks idea is concerned, I agree with this "possibility" although since these are bound to be completed WITHIN the 7 given rounds, this "8th round" label would have to looked at as a bug no matter what -at least for the way the game labels it thereafter on the player's screen-

again, there might be a fair explanation to that but since you guys report that it has already been experienced in FOF2K1 and FOF4 and no one ever seemed to have mentionned that prior to that thread...I'm left wondering.
If anyone has an explanation on that "feature" seen over the last 3 versions ??

Last thing : let's remember that FOF2K1 was an Electornic Arts product...so how come both EA AND SOLECISMIC report the same "bug" (or "feature", again, depending where we position ourselves on this issue)...
