Is anybody finding the need to play with house rules, and, if so, what are they?

I'm currently trying to find a way to PLAY. Have had no time at all so far. Will do so this WE and hopefully the patch will have already been released.

I've played through ten seasons with 7 playoff berths, the 3rd-best overall record, but no championships yet. No house rules here yet.

I am no expert at FOF (this is my 1st edition, I only play TCY !!!), and damn, this is game is hard !

So no, no house rules...

16 seasons, 12 playoff births, 3 bowls, most wins in league and bowl victories in league. Though chicago has more playoff wins.

I'm no expert, don't know what i'm doing right. But no house rules yet. I think overachieving quarterbacks in the current iteration of the game are what are pushing me over the edge. I had Peyton Manning until 2012, and currently have a quarterback with a 92 rating. Good coaching to.

I've also had 4 defensive line men and a cornerback that i've drafted that turned into 70-90 ratings, and i signed them all long term early, and they contributed from their rookie season on. If you check the record books i hold the record for most points scored per game(31) and least points allowed per game(13.2), both from the same season :).

I started with Shorty's 1965 OPU and I get my arse kicked all day. The first one I did got wiped out by a notebook crash.. snif! I was really into that one. I did win one championship, but I realized I had set the cap too high. When this is the case, the AI teams don't spend all the money, but you can, so it's easy to run away with things. This time I've lowered it and I see that I will not be able to get all the free agents I did last time, so I'm thinking.. how am I ever going to win?

You really have to draft the players when you are up against a tight cap, and as we've learned, that's the most challenging part of the game.

So I have my doubts that you really need house rules for this version.
