has anyone else seen unbalanced schedules like this -- 7 of first the 10 games on the road, including two 3-game road swings, and a 4-game homestand (my 2004 schedule):

1. home
2. away
3. away
4. away
5. home
6. away
7. home
8. away
9. away
10. away
11. home
12. home
13. home
14. home
15. away
16. home

I don't think you get more than two home or road games in a row in the NFL.

Quick trivia question. What is the only team that has a three road game stretch this season in the NFL?

The same one that had 4 of 5 games at home with the only road game being at Arizona.

Yes, but no more than two in a row at home, just like everybody else.

You guys have the biggest chips on your shoulder, I swear. Is this an NFL scheduling conspiracy?

No. I see no conspiracy. It's more like a scheduling glitch. But an unfortunate glitch.

And hell yes, we have a chip on our shoulder. You would too if you had just endured the 12 years we did.

Oh, and JG:

It's dark down there in cellar isn't it? Don't worry, we left some flashlights, blankets and canned goods over there in the corner for you. Enjoy your stay. Sorry about the stripes on the walls, but we had 12 years to decorate the place.

The same glitch every other version of FOF has had. Just about every sports sim out there has problems like this with scheduling. You'd think in all that programming for such a game that a scheduling algorithm would be simple, but alas it might be the hardest part for any of these games to get down. I've never seen a sim that did it well.

The Vikings had three in a row at home this year.

Give me two days with each schedule as an individual arrangement of 256 games, and I'll give you a perfect schedule.

I have 12 schedules forms in the game - and each has four rotating games and 12 fixed games. Just no way to make those perfect programmatically. Not unless I make that the sole new feature in a new game. Every new feature is a tradeoff.

I don't think pre-FOF4 schedules ever had more than three homes or aways in a row. I needed only one template and all 16 games were fixed.

I remember in one of the old FIFA games (maybe '97), playing in the Premier League, my first 19 matches were on the road and I finished with my last 19 at home :D
