How did I lose???

Would someone like to explain this to me? No special tactics were used on either side, I had 59 & 56% possession, no special event goals for him, yet I loss 1-3.

How did you lose?

The Hattrick gods (whom I have no sway over :) ) pulled the trout right out of your rectum, which seems to happen to me at least once a season, as well. Of course, that doesn't make it any easier to take, but I have, do and will again, I am sure, feel your pain.

I'd say you had crappy luck. Of the visible events, you missed both of your successful attacks and a fatigue event. He converted on 2 of his 3 successful attacks and an event. The first goal, I can understand, with your right side defense being only passable. The second successful goal was a pisser, though, to give up a goal with a formidable left-side defense. With possession and so many successful attacks and events, you should have won. Just got crappy "rolls" today. If your team maintain that type of ratings though, I'd say you'll have more good days than bad.

2 Things of note:

1) I thought it was really odd for a passable-vs-excellent midfield matchup to end up with "only" a 56%/59% advantage in possession. I don't do excellent midfield like the midfield trainers, though, so maybe that's normal.

2) If you're playing an offensive wingback, I'd seriously consider doing it on the same side as you have a centreback.

Excellent (8) vs Passable (6) midfield should be about that percentage of possession since 8/14 = ~57.1%
