How do you adjust your gameplan to the team you are facing ?
What do you take into accounts for that ? their team summary ? their scouting report ? what else if any...
And then, how do you tweak the gameplan figures after that, so to patch your team according to the opponent's strengh/weaknesses ?

I'm curious to know. In FOF2 for instance, the scouting report told you about the other team: "loves to run the football on 1st down" / "passes much more than normal on 3rd down" etc..so I adjusted my gameplan figures between +5 +10 -5 -10 according to those insights.

What are your "methods" to work this out in FOF2004 ?
OR maybe, you just don't tweak the gameplan at all during the season ?

give the option for Sometimes. The majority of weeks I set it at the start of the season and let it ride. Occasionaly, I will make adjustments.

I'm new to the game this is my first version. I adjust the gameplan every week. I really enjoy this part of the game, while to some it may be tedious to me it's fun. Hell I'd imagine some guys sim a season in the time I take to gameplan and play a game but to each their own:)

I've made two spreadsheets to help me do my plans. One is a simple sheet where I have all my players listed and all their ratings as shown on their cards. The other is a spreadsheet that shows my team and opponent where I can compare ratings and where to attack them. These are nothing fancy and have to filled in by hand. It would be nice if something like this could be printed from the game. If you'd like to look at the sheets I use you can d'load them here...

This sheet is set up with a basic 4-3 vs pro set look and at the bottom is a key that lists what ratings for each position I use to compare the offense vs the defense. Also the at the bottom of the page is a place to compare the tendencies of the two teams using the scouting info on the game screen for passing and rushing ( the left, middle, right, and short, med,long stats). I simply print the sheet on each side of a page and then fill it out. I then look over the matchups and decide where I will be succesful in attacking the opponent.

The roster ratings sheet just gives me a place to put all my players for easy comparison without having to continually switch between player cards in the game. I fill this out just once at the beginning of the year. It really helps me to get to know all my players and aids in making those final preseason cuts and depth chart decisions the first week of the regular season.

These sheets were made with open office and have been saved in excel format so should work fine in ms office. I know I can open them in my son's office '97.
