Releasing players dependent on signing another?

The commish of my FOF league said this, a while ago:

you can make the release of a player on your roster dependant on your signing of a free agent.

Is this true? If so, how do you do it? I have 60 players, and I'm trying to figure out how to sign guys.

It works in mulitplayer. If you release a player right after you have signed a free agent it will come up and ask you if you want to make the release conditional on the signing of the last player you offered a contract.

Thanks. I was too scared to actually release the guy, and get to that point. Even after I was told that's how you do it, on that league's forum, I was still scared to do it! But eventuall I did, and it works. Thanks!
