I know that there are many who will argue that he doesn't deserve the Heisman, and many who disagree. His success this year is certainly not due to "the system." He's basically with the same offensive personnel that Hybl had last season (minus Quentin Griffin). Right now, he has a 40/6 TD to INT ratio.

At any rate, the purpose of posting this link isn't to lobby for the Heisman. It's to give some idea of the living hell that this guy went through, and the tremendous courage that he displayed in coming back against the odds. The kid has a heart as big as a refrigerator, and I think that even his most vocal detractors will have something to think about after reading this link.

its not the system. its that he's playing with vastly superior (fundamental-wise, i mean) players around him. hybl locked up against zone, and could have had nfl players around him and still would have sucekd last year. its a credit to ou though that they can do this without a running game

plus, i don't think he's been pressured all year, much less sacked. it's like watching byron leftwich over there. the guy has time to look over to the sideline so the coaches can point out who to throw to. every team in the country should teach that psuedo-hold that the ol does

In the press conference today, stoops said that none of the other qb's that won it in the last 10 years were ever close in the stats, except for passing yardage. The best Qb's that won only had a 3-1 ratio.
