Now if only we can get him to do that in the playoffs we will be in good shape. Oh wait Osgood is still our goalie. Never mind we are screwed. :)

Ozzie's been quite good thus far for us. I like our chances with him at the helm. If MacInnis comes back late in the year, we might have something.
I'm just glad Colorado, Detroit, and Dallas are playing 'normal' and not as scary as I had thought compared to St. Louis. :)
Jeeber,
Douggie's been quite good and I think the Blues are seeing just how good a healthy Doug Weight is.

Keith Tkachuk has played well. Then again, he's making, what, $9.5 million a season or something ridiculous like that? He'd better well be making game tying shorthanded goals on a regular basis.
Good for Osgood. I always liked him.
The Wings are struggling all right. I think they called up Mark Mowers and Jamie Rivers. This is always a bad sign. In the entire Scottie Bowman era, I am hard pressed to think of too many minor league players (save some young kids like Avery and Williams) who ever made an appearance on the NHL team. Granted, this had a lot to do with the fact that the Wings did not have their own minor league affliate for much of that time (they split Cinci with Anaheim), but still. Back in the pre-Bowman era, Murray and Demeres, the Wings always seemed to have a steady stream of minor leaguers coming up, especially in the play-offs. Those times were not as good.

Yea that seems to be the general sentiment around town. Everyone loves Ozzie. However I think everyone is jus setting themselves up for disappointment. Osgood has a history of starting the season well and ending it poorly. And I believe that to give yourself a real shot at winning the cup you need a goalie who is going to steal a couple of games for you in the playoffs that you shouldn't have won. I don't think Osgood is a guy who can do that.
Don't get me wrong I want him to do well, but considering his early season success isn't that uncommon for him I am taking the wait and see approach. Turek and Johnson both looked good in the regular season too, but come playoff time weren't there for us. I just see Ozzie being more of the same.
