KFAN radio was giving away chances to meet 2003 Winston Cup Champion Matt Kenseth, and i was fortunate enough to win. My wife and i are meeting him tomorrow night at Mystic Lake Casino in the Twin Cities. She is a huge Kenseth fan, so needless to say, she is still tripping over herself about this. Should be fun. I don't know all the details, the station just said to meet at the Winner's Circle in the casino at 8pm. I'll let you know how it went.

Ah Matt Kenseth......
I went out with a girl back in the day. Grew up with her since the 1st grade.
Long story short, she got knocked up by matt around 1993. We were juniors in high school
Her kid races go karts. Haven't seen her in years.

Ah Matt Kenseth.....
I went out with him back in the day. Been looking at his ass since the 1st grade.
He was long and I was short, so I got the back. We were juniors in high school.
He would race me to see who could finish first. Hasn't beat me in years.
A lie

Just make sure you wear your Viqueens jersey and she wears her Packers jersey.
Now you're making me hungry for the Mystic Lake buffet. That was damn good!

Compared to the rest of the posts in here mine was pretty insightful.....
What's wrong with wanting a champion to actually win races. Kenseth won one race this year, which shows what a joke the NASCAR points system is. Tracy on the other hand, won 7 on a much shorter schedule. How crazy, a champion actually winning races.

I agree, partially. See, Tracy didn't race against 42 other drivers all those races. How many drivers start a CART race? 16? 18? And of those, how many are competitive? And since CART is falling apart at the seems (american open wheel racing for that matter), it makes his performance that much less impressive to me. You are correct about the point system in NASCAR though, i think. Drivers need to be rewarded for wins and poles imo.
Nevertheless, as craptaculous said, you can't beat the free buffet. And if meeting Kenseth gets my wife in the mood, then mission accomplished.

I got to meet Paul Tracey @ Road America many years back. When he was still racing for Penske? (Marlboro car). He won the race that year. Very classy guy. He took time out of the winner circle even to sign autographs for us.

Funny how there was no outcry about the points system last year when Kenseth led the circuit with five wins. Yeah, at least Tony Stewart had three wins, and I'm not saying I don't want to see the points system change, but it sucks to see people rip on Kenseth's performance this year. If you were in Matt's shoes and had the huge points lead he did, think you might not take as many chances to win in order to make sure you finished high in the race?
