Veteran players "mentoring" young players

I am almost positive that I read that Vinny Testeverde-types will mentor and aid the development of young Carson Palmer-type quarterbacks. Am I losing my mind or did I see this?

Both. Veterains will mentor the other players at their position, and you are losing your mind.
