Sweet, I can draft Clarret, change his position to punter, and watch him suffer.

Brandon Chillar? Led the PAC-10 in tackles?!?

West Virginia linebacker Grant Wiley is a Nagurski finalist, although I'm not sure what his pro stock is right now.

Dola

And Quincy Wilson isn't too bad of a running back either

Offensive Tackle Trey Darilek. Just about the only good player on UTEP pathetic football team and almost certain to be playing on Sundays next year...

The key word in my opening statement was SO FAR, ha ha ha...
I started by useing the Sporting News 2003 CollegeFootball preview and took the preseason top 20 at each position.
Any and all input on players to be added is VERY much appreciated.

You should worry about end of the season awards....Preaseason means very little

Be careful about the talent level.

Just an FYI...could just be a typo.

Pitt's QB is Rod Rutherford, not Ron.

And agree with above poster as far as talent level.
Thanks

You may want to think about limiting to Seniors (and?) underclassmen who have declared.

How does the game treat these players? Do you set their actual abilities, and it sticks like that, or do you set what their maximum abilities could be and then the game puts in booms and busts, etc?

The abilities have to be set to a number between 375-625, after that when you start a career the choice on how the game treats the players is up to you on what option you choose. (X-Factor)

And for the volitarity, boom or bust........i also have to set that number, if i do not it will just read zero when imported.

Im not sure if the declarition deadline has passed yet, but i have only included guys that i believe to be ready for the NFL, Clarett is in their just for fun.

I have done a test run of the import and it seems to work nicely.

What i have done is set all the players abilities to 600 (since it needs to be from 375-625) with a volitarity of 50. The game had done a great job only allowing a certian number of players to reach the 70+ catagory for potential, and even less in the 80+.

Also, since the draft file needs to be at least 800 players, the fictional players have a date of birth of 1964, all with rateings of 375. This way they wont hang around and clutter up your FA list.

Now.....i still need to create another 75 more players or so to fill the void of drafting.

DeAngelo Hall, a CB out of Va Tech, is a junior but will be leaving school for the NFL this year.

gotta put jarrett payton in he will prolly be drafted due to namesake but won't really amount to much in the nfl. I gotta have him on my bears roster though, keep the family legacy going.

Grant Wiley? Can't forget a guy who is one of the five finalists for the trophy given to the best defensive player in the nation. Someone will draft him.

Plus, I'd want to wait for combine scores before running with this, so you can get more accurate readings on the players. Additionally, there always seem to be combine stars that no one knew of before.

I have found a couple of websites that may help you out...

First One... (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/)

Second One... (http://www.nflfuture.com)

Hope these help!

This is something im really not worried about, ALOT of the times good college players turn out to be NFL duds.
My only idea on doing this is to get real players into the 2004 season. Most of who will be in the file will be drafted in real life anyways, since there are 224 players drafted.
