Thats it, end the season, sit Favre to heal his thumb. I think there should be a rule if you lose to the Cardinals and the Lions in the same year then you all get shot!!

I am so fucking pissed!! Shove that galloping gobbler award up the ass of the guy who said "Run? We don't need no stinkin running game! We are gonna pass 10x more then we have in our last 4 wins!"

Maybe next year.................

Dre' Bly is a stud. Everyone who said the Lions overpaid for him needs to eat some serious crow.

It's weird to finally feel good about being a Lion fan, even if it's only for a day. :D

Yeah, it was definitely a pretty bad performance.

But looking at the run, when they did run, it wasn't very effective.

Favre's last interception that cost them the game... what was Ferguson doing there??? He slowed down for a ball that was going over his head. If he had continued running full speed to where the ball was, he could have made that catch.

And Favre can no longer throw the slant route for his life. He was once the best at throwing the slant pass, now it's either way ahead of his receiver or down at his feet. I'm hoping this is thumb injury-induced, because it has been horrible lately.

Yay for the Lions!

Only game I get to see all year!!

Bly is a stud. He is a major playmaker. Forced Fumble. Two Interceptions. Pro Bowl material all the way.

Besides the opening drive, the offense still sucks. Poor Kircus. He dropped a beauty of a pass.

If Bly doesn't make the Pro Bowl, it'll be a travesty.

I'm really disappointed about Kircus because he might not get many more chances to shine. I'm a huge Grand Valley fan, so I'll be very disappointed if he never comes into his own.

I agree on both accounts. It'd be a real shame to see Kircus flame out. His confidence has to be at an all time low. He's dropped at least two catchable balls in the last two games. Hasn't been thrown to more than 4-5 times.

Tough break for the Packers today. Hopefully the Vikings can take advantage Sunday. Dre Bly and Jason Hanson just made my Christmas card list. :D

I liked him in St. Louis, but a stud? I think that's a bit of a stretch. He showboats a little too much for me for as young in the league as he is. Great game today though and I give him props for that.

Indeed...a stud he isn't. Doing his job he is. Great game, but you got a long way to go before you deserve the right to jump around like a clown.

Although I'm a Vikings fan, I'm hoping that Favre's broken thumb doesn't have Warner like results.

What do you mean a fan? I thought that guy was one of the odd RB's they were trying out this year.

Great game! The atmosphere at the stadium was incredible, it just felt so much different than the 3 wins earlier this season; this one was like, hey, we earned it! Hopefully, this will be the game that starts to turn things around for the Lions. 3-2 in the last 5 games!

EDIT: Getting ahead of myself with their W/L record

I don't understand what you mean? You mean you hope Favre doesn't ride the bench for the rest of the year in favor of Pederson?

Does this mean Peterson comes in and sets things afire? Now that would be something!! Old Man River comes in and leads the Packers to the playoffs, story of the year!! :D :p

I predict the Packers will still have the best record of non-playoff teams in the NFC, just to piss me off. At least tank the rest and get a good draft pick. :D

Dude, you guys have a cupcake schedule the rest of the way. The Packers will be 10-6. There is no question about it. The Vikes are the ones that historically cave. So there you have it. Packer fans rest easy, your team will be the NFC division winner with the worst record.

Remember the Lions qualified as part of the cupcake schedule.

No, he means Peterson will beat easy teams (barely), then Mike Sherman will say something like "Peterson is my QB, yibbit yibbit, Peterson is my QB", that's after a stellar 5 turnover game!!

The Packers won't run the table. At Oakland on Monday night isn't an easy game. Denver will be a pain in the ass for them because they can't stop a good running game.

Essentially what it comes down to is this:

The Packers will probably go 3-1 to close the season. Taht puts them at 9-7.

That makes the Bears game the critical game for the Vikings. Win that game + 1 other game, they win the division. (better divisional record)

As it is, the Vikings go 3-2 now (I think they'll beat KC at home, Chicago and Arizona. . . and will probably beat a very poor road Seahawk team as well) what the Packers do is meaningless.

3-2 with a vicotry over the Bears and the Vikings win the division. I don't think the Vikings will need to rely on the tiebreaker.

5 turnovers by us kinda seems on the low end this year...:(

Thing is, i usually try to stay fairly objective. But this year is so up and down i am going nuts and have gone to bashing my own team from the frustration of it all. They lose games they should win and win (getting my hopes back up) when i think they are gonna lose, like against the Bucs and at the Vikes. At some point i may ask Favre and Rush to hook me up with some pain-killers, since they aren't using them any more.
