UPDATE (13:00 HT-Time): Our servers are now beginning to get back on track. No data was lost and new hardware is in place. But since the site has been down for 10 hours, everything is very much behind schedule and so the site will remain down for a few more hours until the game engine has caught up.

It is a tough day for hattrickers today. The site has been down since this morning following a series of hardware crashes. Another one happened around 14:00 HT-Time and we are currently trying to recover data from that one. Please be warned that the site is no longer likely to come up at all today (Friday).

UPDATE Friday 19.00 HT-Time: Hattrick has been down since early morning due to a hardware failure in one of our external disk cabinets. Since this is where the Hattrick database is stored, we have been working on two fronts today: finding and resolving the hardware problem, while at the same time trying to secure the Hattrick game data. Around noon today, we had the database up and running again, but unfortunately the cabinet crashed again resulting in a corrupt database. By late afternoon, we had finally replaced the faulty hardware but were still trying to restore the Hattrick database as per Friday morning. We didn´t succeed, and have now decided to restore a backup made Thursday morning around 0700 Ht-time. At present, all systems are up again and Hattrick is making up for the time lost. Going back to this previous backup will have effects for many teams, since already processed transfers will be unmade and deadlines rescheduled, and games will have to be replayed, and the player updates recalculated. We will of course try to get the site back online as soon as we can, but our priority is to make sure Hattrick and the hardware continues to work alright. Don´t expect Hattrick back online on Friday. We will inform you as soon as we know more about the reopening of the site. We are very sorry about this disruption of the service.

In my understanding, the backup was made at 10PM Pacific time on Wednesday night (0700 in Sweden) which is after the cup games, but before the 0900 daily update wednesday night.

I hope no one changed their training on Thursday, because the update will run with whatever you had set on Wednesday!!!

Masked is right. From what they say, backup was at 0700 HT time on Thursday, which is 1am Friday eastern, or 10PM Thursday Pacific time.

Cup match were finished on Thursday at 1am HT time for Canada and at 3am HT time for USA (say 3:15 if penalty kicks)...

I was only joking. I know they won,t go back to us replaying our cup matches.

What Masked said is indeed a sucky situation to be in, if anybody siwtched training on Thursday, this change will be swiped out...
