I've been looking around tonight for a place where I can purchase either engraved drumsticks or an aluminum hockey stick shaft, both of which I would like to put my brother's name on and give to him since both are his main interests. I think he'd really get a kick out of both but I've been unable to find either of these products on the sites I searched, including Musician's Friend and Easton. I was hoping maybe somebody here at FOFC might be able to point me in the right direction. I could always get a wood burning kit and do the drumsticks myself but I'm hoping I can go the professional route instead. Thanks.

I know that there are companies that will ink your name on drumsticks. If you pick up an issue of Modern Drummer, you will probably find something in there towards the back. I also no a couple guys that have endorsements with Zildjian drumsticks. I can ask if anybody can get their name on them.

Make sure you find out what size drumsticks he plays. 5A, 5B, 3A. Also, nylon or wood tip should be known as well. The size is usually on the shaft of the stick.

Let us know what you find.

There are places in the mall that will engrave stuff.

There should be one of those glass engravers that make all the crack pipe looking things in every mall.
