...or does it?
In reviewing my squad, I realize it's pretty darn young (average age of 20). In the dire hopes of improving my odds of winning at least ONE game this season in IV.impossible--er, I mean, IV.62, I've taken to scouting the transfer market for players. I'm training GK, and I already have my trainees there.
So, other than skills recession and longer time to recovery, what are the disadvantages (if any) of having non-trainee geezers (28-31ish)?
One of the major perks of them that I see is they have experience, and usually decent skills. Anybody want to chime in on their opinions of old guys?

It seems like I'm in the same boat in a way. Mid 20's to 30ish players, train keeping, although I've gotten away from the market, I might make a visit for a quick seach to see if any floaters and castaways are out there.
About older guys, keep them long enough they could also become your future coach, if they have passable or better experience.

I always shop for older, more experienced players. Maybe I'm trying to find players older than me that are still worth something at this game ;)
I have some very old geezers on my team, but my starting eleven now has an average experience level close to weak...

Go young with your training spots. Go older everywhere else.
22+ seems to be the age where people stop training so anything above that will get you somebody cheaper than if you go young unnecessarily at a position you don't train. Keep an eye on experience since that can affect performance.
Just remember that when they get to Frogger's age they don't recover from injuries so quickly. :D
