Are many of you seeing late developing players? I have had a TE on my team for 6 seasons, he was a 2nd round pick but ratings wise was always just a bit below average to average at best. Progressed to 2017 and I'm checking my roster and now he's rated at "78" overall and has the appearance of an all-pro. Most ball caught to this point are 28, has started roughly half of his time with my team.

Anyone seeing any similar instances? I didn't change any staff this past off season it just seems that he "blew up".

The late bloomers definitely exist.

Thanks, I guess I would have considered it in that realm if he had a high volitivity rate but he is only a 56. But looks to me like he made that "jump in his prime".

How many guys in the NFL develop late? I can't think of any off the top of my head that turned into stars late in their career besides quarterbacks. I can think of a bunch in baseball, but I can't think of any in football.

Jimmy Smith and Joe Horn off the top of my head.

Charlie Garner didn't get over 600 yards until his 6th season, Ty Wheatley til his 5th

I would think Ed McCaffrey would fall into this category off the top of my head.

Moe Williams can fit that example. Not a star really but having a very good season. Seeing him make plays every game that a few years ago would have been very surprising to see.

I don't know if Amahn Green really fits into this category, but he was drafted by Seattle in 98. He played two seasons for them and left for Green Bay in 2000. Since then he has turned into one of the best RB's in the game.

I realize that his potential was always there and that he had a big time fumbling problem, but he came alive after being in the league a couple years. This season is his best so far.

Rich Gannon, Keenan McCardell, Lamar Smith (for about 2 years there)..

the list really goes on and on.
