RE: New England-Indianapolis... I'm sure Belichick likes to be thought of as an innovator/mad genius, but sometimes conventional wisdom is convention wisdom for a reason. It might not cost them the game in the end, but WTF was up with that play calling at the end of the game?

sorry dude, was watching teh game and I just started reading this thread... Been around the here since you heard the big "woomf" that was all the air sucked out of the Pats' lungs in week one, never left teh badnwagon... :p

Was a game to give you ulcers today though. They had the Colts down, but they had to let them come back in.. Darn tough offense you got there, but to win it, you had to score that last TD. Don't deserve to win if you don't score with 4 consecutive plays and the ball at the 1...

Piss poor playcalling, IMO. Why run at Ted Washington? Your D -line is way better than Buffalos, I think we had a false appraisal of our power running game after last week. A slant pass or a pitch might have worked. Edge could have bounced to the left that last play, NE new we were running it up the gut. Oh well, Need to buckle down and try an pound Tennessee for a second time next week.

What was wrong with Belichik's playcalling? Remember that Faulk had just fumbled trying to run the ball, and NE uses the pass like a run quite often given that they don't have much of a rushing attack. It's not Belichik's fault that Brady couldn't hit those passes at the end. You've got to put the ball in the hands of your best player at the end of the game, and for the Pats that's Brady.

WTG defense stuffing them on 2 consecutive drives to pull out the win.

And for those who think I'm a Pats fan coming on the bandwagon late, it was a sad day when my Grogan jersey wore out a few years back and I had to retire it, and I have a picture of my baby girl in her Brady onesie from draft day :p
