Howdy.

I'm in a band and we rock.

We are called driverdown and we've been plugging away for about 3 years now.

Recently we signed with an Indi label in Glasgow, Scotland and we're gigging a lot just now trying to build up a buzz to the release of the album - which will be in february.

A sample song can be found here:

We are playing gigs in Dundee and Glasgow and Newcastle in the next month or so and I'd love it if anyone here lived local enough to come see us.

Let me know if you stay anywhere near these cities and i'll pass on more info.

Cool... I like throwing new music on people and then bragging about how I know the band. Nice to meet you Yossarian ;)

Edit: BTW what is the name of the indie label you signed with?

Its called Dicelines (www.dicelines.com)

Its basically one man and his dog - only without the dog.

But he has money behind him and he's basically paying for everything.

We recently did a mini-tour of the north of england (as in VERY mini) and he picked up the shortfall - £130 or something...

stuff like that really helps out.

the cd is going to be properly pressed (goodbye CDR's) and will have a 12 page booklet of art & lyrics and stuff....

Don't go to Houston, it smells. :D

Come to Dallas instead.

We could get rid of you guys. We have Fort Worth right there ready to take up the slack. :)

Living in Houston, I'll have to agree. Oh I long for my days in D/FW again.

Just tour through Dallas or Ft. Worth, I'll come up there and hear ya.

Since I'm from Ft. Worth, Slap, that would be OK with me. :)

You said Dallas before. If you're from Texas say you're from Texas next time. :D

Dallas is like the Texas Matrix. It's where we keep all of the malcontents that want to think they are from Texas. Why do you think Fort Worth is so close? It's because we needed a Texan city up there. :)

Sorry for the hijack...carry on.

Cool.

Don't suppose you can hook us up with free airflight tickets and accommodation?

one day.....

I play guitar.

I've known Kelly (female singer) since I was 5, Jon (male singeR) and Graeme (bass) since I was 15 (they are brothers) and Omar the drummer.. he was friends with Jon and Graeme so I guess about the same time.

We're quite lucky in some ways,

Jon just happens to have had shitty luck with jobs and has been unemployed for ages - meaning that he's had time to write a lot of stuff.

And Omar studied at SAE after school and is now a sound engineer. comes in useful...
