Ill bet some of you guys have played in the Poker Stars freeroll tournaments that are massive. The one this afternoon had 4,641 entrants. Yours truly just finished THIRD. I am totally exhausted after 6 straight hours of no limit holdem. I get entry into a weekly tournament with a paltry $100 prize for the winner, but I dont care much about that, really. I was playing for the thrill of making the final table/winning. http://www.cox-internet.com/pwatts14/starstourn.jpg

By the way, my screen name most places is Gorgonian (so look for that name in the list of finishers there). Dont ask where I got that name, either.

Great job. I play at PokerStars, but I never enter the Freeroll. One, because they last 6 hours, and two, because all you get is entry into a $100 tournament. Good luck in the weekly freeroll

i enter them chiefly because stars' tournament software is top notch. it makes them fun. i really dont care much about the prizes, i just like trying to be the best :)

I got knocked out when we were down to 3 players (obviously) and I was on the button with 55. I went allin hoping to just pick up the blinds and antes which would have put me ahead of the 2nd place player. If called by one player I had a chance to double up and really move up. Unfortunately, both apparently had a hand because both called and I lost to the overcards, of course. Two callers was exactly what I didnt want, which was the main reason I went all in. I think I had 1,100,000 in chips, second place had about 1,240,000 in chips, and the leader had somewhere between 4 and 5 million. I think the second place guy caught two pair with K9 or something (surprised he called my allin with that actually).
