I didn't pick that number. I picked a random 4 digit number. He missed it.

Methinks there was an instructions or math error involved, then, Huckleberry (or else I'm missing your humor).

The resulting difference from the subtraction will always be a multiple of nine. Therefore its digits will sum to a multiple of nine. When you exclude the zero, that means that you give it all the digits but one... and all that must be done is determine what remaining digit will get the digits to sum to the next-highest multiple of nine. q.e.d.

7up works in mysterious ways.

Well, I picked 3713. He told me I picked 6. That's not true. His silly, and easily explained, mathematical "trick" gave me 6.

Basically I'm saying I'd be more impressed if they used math to tell me my original 4 digit number and not what number I circled.

Figures. It probably would have worked if it was a sprite sponsorship.
