Cheetum-
How did you learn how to create graphics like that? What program did you use? Those are really really nice.

he probably made the one in the bottom right corner, but the rest are actually from an upcoming xbox game called Freestyle Street Soccer that is supposed to come out in February and is getting horrible reviews.

yep the "pictures" are screenshots from a PS2/XBOX game called Urban Freestyle Soccer, all i did was throw them together, maybe tweak or modify them a bit, add some text and stuff... etc etc. To create those images like those from scratch would actually not be too difficult, but one thing it DOES require that I dont have a lot of is time. its much faster just to copy the images that are already available (thanks Acclaim). Making this wallpaper is just something to keep me occupied for an evening . . . not for a week or two :P
i did all the work in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. One of my favorite "tools" other then Photoshop, is google's image search :p Sometimes I use Corel Draw to draw images i cant make in photoshop or scrounge up on the web. For animations i use Flash and/or Adobe Image Ready, and for 3D work i use 3D Studio Max and/or Bryce. Each program does some things better then others so just like anything, i try to use the right best tool(s) for the job. In this case it was Photoshop and Google.
Wallpapers are good practice for image/photo manipulation. I have occassionally made custom wallpapers by request. This is the one that is on MY desktop right now. I used pictures of my GF and incorporated a "desert island" wallpaper that comes with windows XP. Its one of my better ones but she only let me show it off since i shrunk it a bit and slapped a big "SAMPLE" across it.

Enlarge it a bit (http://home.comcast.net/~cheetum/images/samantha-sample.jpg)
i use stuff like these wallpapers, the Hattrick logos (http://home.comcast.net/~cheetum/gs/logos.htm) I design, and various other things I have done to add to my "web portfolio". doing stuff like this in my free time is not just fun for me but has long term benefits for me too (i hope)
Cheetum can i see your portfolio? i'm allways looking for freelance designers for some custom work for the mainstream and adult industry if you're interested.

"Urban Freestyle Soccer" is the European version of the US game "Freestyle Street Soccer". Personally, I think its funny since the European version calls it Soccer also instead of Football.

icy: unfortunately 90% of it is on a CD packed in a box in storage right now. i had it on a website a few months ago but the hosting company had a hard drive die, and lost everything :( thankfully i have a backup... somewhere... just havent had a chance to get it back up and going, but im working on it :)
another issue now is that i have a very sporadic schedule. I work full time and want to get back in school so i can finish out my degree. If you have some low-priority work that wouldnt require stiff deadlines, making a few ad banner designs or something, i could always do the work for free and if you like it and want to use it then we can negotiate a small fee. I would be doing it more for the experience then the money.
Kevin: you wouldnt be the first.
saintjo: lol didnt realize the difference in titles but yes that is funny :)
