Got all my stuff packed up, painted the house (kids + Crayons and markers = walls needing 5 coats of primer), drove from Nebraska to North of Boston. Did the Thanksgiving thing and tried to fly home for my soccer game on Tuesday. No, of course it had to snow on black ice and cause major traffic issues. Took me 2.5 hours to move 20 miles, the airport is 50 miles (the Manchester, NH one is a lot cheaper than Logan in Boston) away.
I had to pull the whole "I'm in the military and I need to be at work tomorrow" thing. So they sent me to Baltimore to fly to Chicago to fly to Omaha. They had to bump someone on the Balt flight so I could catch the next flight to Chicago. He only got bumped an hour, so I don't think he cared too much. Well my flight got delayed in Balt as well... so we sat on the runway for 40 minutes. We get into Chicago, and of course we have to get delayed AGAIN. So I was supposed to be home at 3PM on Tuesday and play a game at 7PM... I didn't get in until 10PM. My team lost (and I hate to say it, but it was because I wasn't there) to the last place team. Sadly, with all my injuries, I'm running @ 75% at best. I'm still the leading scorer and I also played a little keeper and haven't let a goal in yet this season. Of course, this isn't a very competitive league. This is the Intra-Base Intermural Indoor Soccer League. So squadrons put teams together. I am in a squadron of 60 people, so I don't have much to choose from.
Ahhh well.. I'm back at work, with nothing in my house, for a couple more weeks until I fly back to the Boston area at the end of this month (yes I miss my first Christmas with my kids). I'll be all over New England in January and I'm off to Iceland in Feb.
So... I'll check in from work here and there.
So, my Hanguk U20 dynasty thread is on hold until then, but how about: 17th in the WORLD!!! (outta 68)
We take on the powerhouse Sweden this week. Honestly, people were turning down games with South Korea because they said that we are too powerful. I find this sooooo odd. Hanguk currently has 33 users. Countries with over 1000 and one with 3000 users turned us down.
I usually PIC every match, but it may be time to pull out my MOTS this week.
