Romeo Perry was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the year 2019. His legacy starts now. The Chargers traded away their previous star QB for the #1 pick in the draft in order to get Romeo. Romeo looks to have a great future ahead of him as the season is about to get underway.

Romeo was predicted to have a future overall rating of 83. I forgot to take a screen shot of his ratings before the season started, so I'll give you an idea of what it looked like. Every potential rating was above 70 except scrambling frequency.
Ratings that stood out were:
Short: 96
3rd: 96
Interception: 96
Sense Rush: 91
Read Defense: 92
2 minute offense: 90
Although I wanted a higher Volatility, he's got a rating of 18 in that department. Which is fine.
I will post his end-season Ratings through a screenshot, to get a better look at him.
Although Romeo had GREAT potential he was still very experienced having a Current rating of 24.
His inexperience didn't stop Coach Michael Mau for the Chargers to start him ahead of another inexperienced QB who is actually a good prospect too(with a future rating of 63 Overall).

JD: Hello Romeo, thank you for sharing your time to answer a few quesitons for me!
PR: Hey, no problem at all Don.
JD: You had a good game. Nearly threw for 200 yards and a TD, but of course you didn't play the 4th quarter. So you would have easily surpassed those marks with a full game. How was your first experience as a quarterback in the league?
PR: Oh, man! A dream come true. I tell ya, I was running around like a little boy again. I was 12 all over again. Though in reality, I was 12 and the other guys I was playing against were 16. They're all humungous! It's just a great feeling to be out there with the big boys.
JD: Now. How do you feel about your chances this year in terms of the playoffs and such?
PR: Well, you know what. Of course I have high expectations, we have a good back in Papadupolos, Papa in short, and a great recieving core that I can throw to all year long. So I hope I can lead this team to the promised land!
JD: Thanks a lot Romeo, I hope to talk with you more as the season goes on!

Preseason Stats for Romeo:
Game One:199 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Game Two:148 Yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs
Game Three:146 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Game Four: Sat out for a sore shoulder, which he was listed as probable and 1 week returning to full. So I just benched him making sure he healed properly.
Romeo's first Preseason went as I figured it would.. He threw for just under 500 yards, with 2 TDs and 4 Picks. He lead the team to one win and 2 losses when he started those games.

PR: Thanks. Yeah, my shoulder is feeling great this week. I'm very ready for the big show next week. I hope we can come out with a win.

Football Frenzy Reports
Football is underway in the year 2019. There are some good stories as we head into the season. Here are some predictions this year for the division leaders along with predictions for the cellar dwellers.
AFC North:
Winners: Steelers Becuase they're lead by a huge offensive line and great skill players behind those big boys.
Losers: Baltimore. Their best player is a Tight End. 'Nuf said.
AFC South:
Winners: Jacksonville. While they haven't had a successful year in a while, I think they've got a legitimate shot this year with the best secondary in the NFL.
Losers: Houston. They've been a joke since they've become a Franchise. They have the second worst record in the twenty years they've been around. 2nd only to Dallas(See Below). It won't change this year!
AFC East:
Winners: Denver. They are one of the most experience teams in the league, if they don't win soon, they won't win within 5 years. Book it.
AFC West
Losers: San Diego. Perry Romeo is not the answer. Honestly, who gives up a franchise player for an unproven player? Beats me.
NFC North:
Winners: Green Bay. Last years Superbowl Winners. It's only appropriate that they're my guess to win the horrible NFC North.
Losers: Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit. I predict a total of 8 wins between these three teams. They're given SIX since that's how many times they play each other, unless they tie!
NFC South:
Winners: New Orleans. The only thing stopping them from winning this division might be their suspect defense. The offense will have no problem scoring.
Losers: Atlanta. Sort of the opposite of New Orleans, except they can't score. Their defense may stop teams though keeping them in a few, but most likely not.
NFC East:
Winners: Philadelphia. They have perhaps the most balanced team in the NFL. Star players on both sides of the ball. They'll be a force this year.
Losers: Dallas. See Houston, but add more bad stuff. They're just bad. Really bad. I see one or two wins.
NFC West:
Winners: Arizona. They're looking to extend their playoff visits to four in a row. All Pro and future Hall of Famer, Max Brooks will help them see another playoff this year.
Losers: San Fransisco. They've got backup players playing at every starting position basically. They've got nothing to look forward to this year, nor 10 years from now.

"HUT! HUT!" screamed Romeo as he took his first snap as an NFL Quarterback. As he took a few steps back he saw his offensive line collapse to the Denver Broncos D-Line who all practically walked right in. Romeo quickly felt the need to get out of there.
Romeo's first play was a 4 yards gain on the ground. And his legacy was starting.
Romeo played a good first quarter leading his team to a field goal to fall behind after one quarter of play, 7-3.
With one minute to go in the half with the score at 14-10, Denver on top, the Chargers defense faltered and let up another Touchdown before the half. 21-10. That would stand until half way through the 3rd quarter when Romeo threw his first TD of his career and also pulled within four points again. As the fourth quarter came underway the Broncos put another score on the board to extend their lead to 11 again, 28-17.
The Chargers had a few chances througout the 4th quarter to come back, but failed due to only one 3rd down conversion in the 4th quarter.
Romeo lost his first game as a Starting Quarterback.

Game Two Versus a bad Minnesota Viking team
Romeo looked much more comfortable this week, but still a little shaky. Romeo took his team into the half with a very comfortable 28-3 lead. The second half was real quiet until the waning minutes when Minnesota's offense came to life, scoring 21 points in 6 minutes left in the game making the final score 35-24.

PR: Thanks a lot, Don. It was a great feeling running to the center of the field to shake the other teams' hands, while in a good mood because of the win. But hey, any week anybody can win. We won't look past the Browns. We'll still practice hard this week and hopefully come out with another win next Sunday.

Celebration Short-Lived
San Diego was traveling to a very rowdy Cleveland stadium to play the Browns. It was Clevelands first home game of the year and they were also looking for their first win of the year. So the fan's wanted it badly, and they got what they asked for. A 33-27 Victory over Romeo's Chargers in a very exciting game that traveled into overtime.
The game was nearly all wrapped up by the Chargers going into the 4th quarter leading by 10. But the Browns fought back and took the lead with under a minute to go in the game. After a short return on the kick-off Romeo took control of the offense with all three timeouts left and 54 seconds on the clock.
Romeo sets up to take the snap. The ball is snapped to Romeo, he takes a few steps back, fires it to his all-pro wideout, Frederick and he misses him high. 2nd down and 10 to go on the 28 yard line.
Up next the 1-2 Texans.
Romeo back the pass, here comes the rush from the right side, and BAM, no he got the pass off. Off to the left sideline and overthrown again. 3rd down and ten to go.
*C'mon call down. Take a deep breath. Just relax. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10. Just like in practice, the 2 minute drill. Just get it done. Okay, I'm ready!* "Alright guys, here we go, lets get it done, Twins right curls. Twins right curls. C'mon now guys we need the first! Ready! BREAK!"
"Blue 12. Red 48. HUT! HUT!"
Up in the booth, "Back the pass is Romeo, looks over the middle and see's his open TE, Sheldon, fires it in there on the money. AND WHAM! He is drilled by Strong Safety. Did he hold on? YES.! Romeo and teammates calling for a timeout. Now the question is, did he get the first down? The refs bring out the chains. He stretches it, annnnd, FIRST DOWN Chargers! 34 seconds on the clock.
"Romeo back behind his big center, looks over across the middle for his reciever. He finds one and rockets it across the middle and caught on stride, he breaks one tackle and another and finally brought down on the Cleveland 40 yard line for a 22 yard gain! Time out called again. WOW folks, he may be the real deal. Romeo getting it done right now. He needs to get a few more yards for a field goal, but he's thinking touchdown right about now though!"
"23 seconds on the clock, enough for one or two more plays ladies and gentleman! The snap, and it's play action, no he handed it off to Papa for a 4 yard gain(I don't call plays, sadly). Time out. That's their final timeout. They have to kick a field goal here. Let's see, it's a 53 yard attempt. Harding comes out on the field, his career long is a measly 46 yards, and I don't think he's got the leg to do it here though.
"The snap is a good one, the hold is good, and the kick. It's straight, is it long enough though? IT IS! He made it, wow. What kick from Harding. And here we come overtime!!"
In overtime they had the ball for 8 1/2 minutes before they finally scored to beat me. I didn't touch the ball once.

Home Crowd, Romeo Not Enough for the Chargers
In it's newly renovated stadium which seats 95,130, and which fell short of a sell-out by 140 perps, San Diego fans were not able to help the Chargers to a win in their first home game of the season. The final score was 13-9 in favor of the Texans.
Romeo had his first BAD BAD game of his career.

I was off today, every quarterback has his bad game, and I just had mine. And the thing is, we still had a chance to win, I will take the blame for it. Romeo's skills are starting to climb little by little. He started the season at a Overall 24 out of 83. He's climbed to a tad to 28 Overall out of 83 after 4 regular season games.

The Battle of the Bad
Chargers Vs. Colts
The next game was a game between two 1-3 teams. Romeo was nearly flawless against the Colts. Throwing his first career 300 yard game.

San Diego won every quarter except the less, which proved to be meaningless. San Diego won comfortably 30-24. Indianapolis scored a meaningless touchdown to pull within 6 points, but the clock had reached 0 as they scored that last TD.

JD: Hey coach, great victory tonight. Who do you owe this victory to?
MM: Well, our defense kept their offense off the field so I credit our defense being able to give Romeo the ball to throw the ball all over them. So Romeo gets the game ball, but the defense gets the credit.
JD: Do you feel you are still in the hunt for the playoffs?
MM: Who isn't, idiot, it's the 5th game of the season. Thank you.

Raiders Win After Trailing at the Half
Romeo and the Chargers coulda, woulda, maybe not shoulda won. The Chargers offensive coordinator got away from the game plan and threw way to many passes and ran way to few times. 17 rushes to 45 passing attempts.

The game at half looked to be ours. We got the ball to start the half and we were driving down the field and suddenly the momentum shifted as Romeo threw his first of two picks. From there everything went downhill. The scoring for the rest of the game was two field goals for the Chargers while the Raiders scored 21 in the second half.
On the Raiders side, their past Pro Bowler threw for over 300 yards and 3 TD's with no picks.
Some day Romeo will have days like that every week. Hopefully.

Nailbiter in San Diego
(I'll let you find out what happens at the end this time.. Just this one time ;) )
Denver took a quick first quarter lead, 10-0. Halfway through the second quarter Romeo led his team down the field and threw a 3 yard touchdown pass to Powell for six. 10-7.
Denver goes three and out, but gets another life as my punt returner fumbled the punt return. The fool. He's benched after this week I'm afraid.
Denver took over on the 18 and hardly took advantage of the field position as the Charger D stepped up and held them to a field goal. 13-7.
With time running out in the 2nd half, Romeo and his boys drove down the field and on the 36 yard line with a minute and a half to go, Papadopulos broke a run for 36 yards for a touchdown.
Do we go into the half with the lead? Denver says no as they ran the 2 minute(1:33 left) drill perfectly and tallied 6 points on the board to take the lead 20-14 at the half.
The Chargers to get the ball to start the half and they ran in a TD with a good 6 minute drive. 21-20.
Will Denver's undefeated season go down the drain? Keep on reading you bum, don't skip to the end!
After a few Possession changes, Denver scored 6 as the 3rd quarter came to an end to take the lead again 27-21.
A great drive ended as Papadopulos fumbled on the Broncos 28 yard line. But the defense held strong again and thankfully the punter knocked one into the endzone for a touchback.
Is Romeo set for his first 4th quarter heroics? 8 minutes to score, he does it in two. So six minutes to go and the Chargers have a 28-27 lead. The 95,000 fans in San Diego are going crazy! Denver is done! The fans will help the Chargers D! "DEFENSE! DEFENSE! DEFENSE!"
The defense puts a stop to the Broncos drive and forces a punt which is fair caught on the 20 yard line. Papa leads them to one first down. The second set of downs drains out the rest of the timeouts with 1:39 on the clock. But it's 3rd and 9. The coach puts it on the ground and gains 8 to put it on their own 40 yard line. 4th and 1. No first down, damn! The coach throws his clipboard down and sends his punt unit onto the field.
55 seconds left. Ball on the Broncos own 22 yard line after a fair catch. The crowd cheering like it's over. Bronco's stud QB has no timeouts to work with.
47 seconds left. 1st and 10, incomplete, good breakup on the play by the CB.
39 seconds left. 2nd and 10, pass complete to Sherman for 11 yards.
It's hurry up ball now, HUT HUT, 26 seconds, 25, 24, looks deep to Sherman again, CAUGHT, he breaks a tackle, he's still running, and finally brought down out of bounds by FS DeVane after a gain of 46 yards.
11 seconds left. Broncos sends out the kicking team to the 21 yard line for a 38 yard field goal. The snap good, hold good, and Jefferson splits the uprights for 3!
SILENCE in San Diego.
Game over. 30-28 Denver wins it.

Chargers Lose Another Nailbiter
Romeo didn't lose it for the team this time in this nail-biter. Papa-loser-dopulos fumbled the ball deep in the Titan's Territory with 2 minutes to go. Chargers never got the ball back despite having all three timeouts after the TO. The D just couldn't hold 'em.
Final Score: 13-10, sadly in favor of the Titan's.

PR: Well. We've been in every game so far this year except one, which I think we could have still won. But that's what I think after every game. We shoulda won 'em all in my head! But that's football. We just can't close out the games, which is partially my fault. But Papa has fumbled twice in closing minutes of two different crucial games. What can we do?
JD: How do you feel your game is coming along at this point in the season?
PR: I'm improving every single game. We've got a great QB Coach in Kent Beyer, our OC. He's helping me sharpen my skills.

Rookie Fined $25,000 for actions in an AP News Article
Rookie, Perry Romeo was fined today for his words against his teammate about his poor play.
"He'll learn that he can't do that. He's young and learning." Coach Mau told the papers today. "Waddya do? There isn't a question in my mind that he'll be starting next week. He was just telling the truth, he just didn't need to state it publically."

Chargers: Number One Pick?
Another loss is enough to have the second worst record in the NFL at 2-7 behind Dallas' 0-8-1 record.
"We might as well finish the season trying to improve Romeo as much as we can, we're obviously out of all the races except the race for the #1 pick." Coach Mau said after another loss against the Jaguars.
Romeo got eaten up all day as the Chargers lost to the Jaguars 26-17.

Can the Chargers Pull Out an Upset?
The Chiefs(5-4) host the Chargers(2-7) in a game where the Chiefs need to win to stay in the playoff hunt. The Chargers need a loss to keep up with Dallas' losing rampage. They're still winless, at 0-9-1 after today.
The Chiefs jump out on top after quarter 1, 10 to zip.
#1 pick looking good up to this point. But the 2nd quarter said otherwise. Papa ran in a 5 yard touchdown and Romeo connected for an 83 yard TD pass to his best reciever, Powell. The lead is now the Chargers going into the half, 14-10.
Now the question is, who's going to choke today? Papa, Romeo maybe? Well the offense themselves made a good case by going 3 and out twice in a row on offense. Both times the Chiefs scored, one a field goal and the second on a touchdown to take the lead back going into the 4th quarter. 20-14 the score.
After 4 possession changes Romeo had a fire lit behind his ass as he hit Atkins for a 16 yard TD to take the lead 21-20 with 3 minutes to go.
Now it's up to the defense to choke.
1st and 2nd downs the defense held the Chiefs to 3 yards.
3rd and 7. Journeyman Leonard Kreutz stepped back after taking the snap threw it downfield to his main man, but before Bradley could pull it in, Irwin the Chargers corner cut him off and took it 35 yards to the 5 yard line after the interception.
It took San Diego 3 tries before they finally forced it in for 6 points and an 8 point lead with 1:33 left on the clock. 28-20 Chargers leading this one.
Leonard Kreutz comes onto the field hoping he can lead his team into overtime. He has to start out on the KC 38, good field position after the return.
Kreutz completes the first pass for 16 yards. Then his second pass for 10 yards. Still in the hurry up offense. He gets another snap but is sacked this time for a loss of 4. 1:07 on the clock, 2 timeouts remaining. He hurries his team back to the line, steps back and fires for another gain of 10 and the reciever gets out of bounds. 56 seconds left. Plenty of time with two time outs. The defense needs to step it up before they blow it big time.
3rd and 4 after the last play. Kreutz threw it into double coverage but nobody could gobble it up on either side. 4th down! Kreutz though comes through in the clutch and completes a 7 yard pass for the first down. Time out called, 27 seconds left. Now we're on the San Diego 23 yard line. A little too close for comfort! Just stop them defense!
First down. Incomplete. Second down incomplete.
3rd down and 10. Last play of the game coming up since there's only 3 seconds left on the clock.
Up in the booth, "Kreutz back the pass. Looking, looking. Runs to the sideline to buy time. The running back pulls out into a flat, Kreutz throws to his back, who takes off down the sideline. He just might score! To the 10, the 5, he dives and is drilled by Cornerback, West. Touchdown!!! Wait!!!! The refs called him down on the 1. Now we've got a booth review. Boy oh boy! Let's take a look at the replay. Did he get in? Ooh, it looks reaaaal close. It's hard to tell. Was his knee down before he stretched the ball over the goal line? Man, that is awfully close! Let's take it down to the field. Here's the call."
"After reviewing the play. The reciever's knee hit the ground before the ball crossed the plane. Therefore no touchdown. Game over."
Chargers win! 28-20.

Division Standings
1. Denver 9-1
2. Oakland 5-5
3. Kansas City 5-5
4. San Diego 3-7
The rest of the conference looks bad. There are division races in every single one but ours. There's either a tie for first in the other 3 divisions or a one game difference. The wildcard race is close too with Oakland and KC only a game back to 2 teams at 6-4.
Dallas is still winless 0-9-1.

The Bears came to town and handily took care of the Chargers in a 27-20 affair. Once again Romeo could have led his team to at least a tie in the 4th quarter, but only came short. The Chargers outgained the Bears 405-296 yards.

San Diego Upsets New England
In a game where rookie, Perry Romeo dominated the Patriots secondary, the Chargers upset the Patriots. The Patriots now fall to 7-4-1, winless in there last 5 games. The Patriots were undefeated for the first 7 weeks in the season only to fall against the Browns in week 8.
Romeo led his team to a 27-17 victory over the Pats.

Chargers Start a Winning Streak
The Chargers have started their first win streak with Perry Romeo at the helm. A game where the Chargers were short 9 players due to food poisoning. The Chargers still easily took care of the Lions with Romeo's help, taking a 20-0 before the Lions chipped away and threw a touchdown for their first score. But that proved to be nothing as the Chargers nailed the coffin as they scored 2 field goals and a touchdown in the 4th quarter to put the game away, 33-20.
"To be missing our star reciever and starting running back and still win is simply great. All the credit goes to Romeo who threw for nearly 300 yards and a touchdown and pick each." Coach Mau said of his young star quarterback. "We can still get around .500, that's our goal right now. And maybe who knows, if we win out we still have a slim shot for a wildcard berth. Nahhh", Coach Mau said laughing.

Oakland is still in first for the wildcard at 8-5. KC won their game as well so they improve to 7-6 and a game back in the Wild Card. Buffalo and Jacksonville are also 8-5 and tied for first in the Wild Card. Cincinatti is also in the Wild Card mix at 7-6.
The only way I can make the playoffs is all these guys lose and mathematically I could possibly get in. It should be a close call, but they're all not going to lose their last 3 games, so I'm not too worried about it! Or am I?

Chargers Playoff Hopes Diminished?
With a win in San Diego against division rivals Kansas City Chiefs, the Chargers would still mathematically be alive for the playoffs. But they still need to take care of the Chiefs on the field. If the Chargers do win, they have the head-to-head advantage over the Chiefs if there is a tie for a playoff spot, since the Chargers handed them a loss at Arrowhead Stadium.
After one half of play it was turning out to be another great game with the score tied at 10 a piece. San Diego took the lead in the 3rd quarter scoring 10 more points and shutting out the Chiefs.
Will the tide turn?
With 13 minutes to play and a 10 point lead for the Chargers, the Chiefs offense began to start up. They drove 71 yards down the field in a span of 4 minutes for a touchdown to pull within 3 points of San Diego.
Can Romeo put this game away? Well, the Chargers answered their scoring drive with a 2 play drive(it says to in the log, but it was actually 3. Romeo had a intentional grounding penalty called against him) for -7 yards leading to a punt.
With 8 minutes to go the Chiefs drove down the field a little bit only to miss a 54 yard field goal.
So with 2:54 on the clock all the Chargers needed to do was run the clock down under 2 minutes and punt it away with a 3 point lead. After a 3 play drive which included 2 incomplete passes(Stupid freaking coach) and a run for -3 yards, the Chargers were forced to punt it away. The punt was a 48 yard punt and downed on the 18 yard line.
The Chiefs had over 2 minutes to score. Well they only needed 3 plays to do just that. After the 2 minute warning on a 3rd and 6 call, the Chiefs scored a 78 yard touchdown. What a heartbreaker!! Can Romeo make his 2nd 4th Quarter Comeback of the season and his career? Let's find out!
1:34 left on the clock. Two timeouts to spare, and 72 yards to go.
Up to the booth, "Romeo back the pass, looking, looking, still looking, he's got all the time in the world, but here comes Davison around the corner and smash he gets the quarterback for a loss of 5 on the sack. Romeo quickly situates, calls the play, the ball is snapped. He see's his fullback in the swing pass, Manning catches, runs down the side line with plenty of room and he's tackled for a gain of 13. The clock is still running, why didn't he get out of bounds!? NOW the Chargers call a timeout with a minute-6 remaining on the game clock. 3rd and 2 now, the Chiefs need a first down here and they really need to get out of bounds. Romeo gets the snap, he take a 3-step drop, and fires to the left sideline to Atkins who drops the ball. And that brings up 4th down."
*Alright, 4th down, no problem. Just get the first. Just get the first. Focus. Breathe. I'm alright*
"Here we go boys, Pro Formation, Split outs on 1, pro formation split outs on 1. Ready! BREAK!"
Back up to the booth, "Romeo calls out the assignments for his blockers, gets the snap, and Papa is doing a little 2 yard out and Romeo hits him in stride and Papa looks to have BARELY enough for a first down and the Chargers call a time out after a 2 yard gain to keep the hopes alive."
"1st and 10 on the 38 yard line, still 62 more yards to go here before the Chargers have any chance of celebrating. Romeo has 3 wide, 1 Tight end and single back here. Atkins is by himself on the left side, while all-pro Powell is lined up next to Sheldon on the right. Romeo in the shotgun formation, he gets the snap. The snap is a little high but he recovers just fine. He looks to the left for Atkins who does a quick slant in, and bam, he faked in and shot out to the outside for a fade route. Romeo fires over his shoulders right on target. THERE IS NO ONE THERE TO STOP ATKINS. To the 40, the 30, he. Could. Go. All. The. Way. TOUCHDOWN! TOUCHDOWN CHARGERS! UNBELIEVABLE. A perfect call there by the Chargers for 6 points. And the lead is theirs once again!!!"
The defense held their ground after only giving up 4 yards in 3 plays to hold off the Chiefs. The final score 27-24, and Perry Romeo named Player of the Game.

League Notes
Week 15 Conclusion:
I'm obviously no longer in the run for the #1 pick. Dallas has won 3 in a row to bring there record to 3-10-1, no longer holding their spot for the #1 pick. Detroit has a record of 3-11 at this time.
The wild card race is still tight, with the Chargers still alive since Buffalo lost. But Jacksonvill has clinched a spot with their 10th win. Oakland lost to bring there record to 8-6, along with Cincinatti who won this week.
So the WildCard now has one spot remaining.....
Buffalo: 8-6
Oakland: 8-6
Cincinatti: 8-6
KC: 7-7
4 Tied at 6-8 (Including Me!! :D)
Luckily none of the 8-6 teams play each other, otherwise I'd have already been eliminated, but there's still a chance!!! :p

Green Bay Still Frozen
With a 13-0 lead, Green Bay(9-5) was looking good to clinch home-field advantage and a bye. Perry Romeo and Papadopulos(why is this name, a name?) got the ball rolling before the closing of the 1st half. Papa ran in a 3 yard touchdown to pull within 6 at the half. 13-7 at halftime, and the ball to start the half San Diego was still in the game.
Romeo and the Chargers got something going and eventually settled for a field goal in their first drive of the half to pull the score within 3 points at 13-10.
The rest of the game seemed to be as bad as the weather. Punt after punt, until 10 minutes left to go in the 4th quarter, the Chargers put together 10 play drive for 73 yards ending with a touchdown run by Papadopulos. With that touchdown that gives the Chargers a 17-13 lead.
The defense would hold the Packers until the final minutes of the game when it looked like the Packers would come back and win. On first and 10 on the Chargers 35 yard line with just under 2 minutes to go, Strong Safety Talley picked one off in the endzone for a touchback.
The Charger offense came back out onto the field and finished the game off with a short series to close the game out at 17-13 improving their record to 7-8.

The Chargers kept the ball on the ground for 34 times on this cold December day in Green Bay. The running game totalled just over 130 yards on the day while Romeo threw for 207 yards while completing a decent 20 of 31. He also threw one touchdown and one interception. Romeo asked of Frozen Lambeau Field, "Jeez, I don't like it here already. The fans are great though. They keep the field warm with their screaming and cheering for their team. The Packers are in the playoffs already and I wish them the best of luck."

Jordan Donner's Interview With Perry Romeo:
JD: With Oakland and Jacksonville winning today, they've knocked you out of the playoff race. How do you feel?
PR: Well, we knew our chances to make the playoffs was very slim after our horrid start. We came together as a team a little too late. Hopefully we'll have to teams from our division in the playoffs though. I'll be rooting for them to win it all.
JD: Do you feel in control of your team now? Are your chances tons better for next year to win the title?
PR: I'm sure our chances will improve as we're all playing better as a team. As long as we improve every game we'll have a good shot at it next year.
JD: That was your 3rd game this year that you led your team to a 4th quarter victory. How does that feel to be labeled as Mr. Comeback so early in your career?
PR: Well, as much fun as it is to come back and win a game in the 4th quarter, you try not to get in those situations in the first place. We want to be winning going into the 4th quarter, and finish the game out with a win. But we'll take it how we get it.

Chargers Closes Out Season On A Good Note
The Raiders came to town in a must win game against the Chargers. If the Raiders lose, no playoffs for them. As much as I want another division team in the playoffs, I want to win.
Oakland had a 14-7 lead at the break only to lose it in the 3rd quarter where the Chargers outscored the Raiders 10-3 to put the game at a tie at 17.
The Chargers put another 7 on the board in a hurry with a 3 yard run by Papadopulos for 6. With a 7 point lead the defense looked to add more by forcing an interception giving the offense 14 yards of field before Romeo connected with Papadopulos for a 3 yard touchdown pass. The Raiders couldn't cut the deficit enough as they scored 7 as the clock ran out. The Raiders are now eliminated from the playoffs by the much-improved Chargers.
The final score came to be 31-24.

Oh Romeo, How Did Thou Do?

Romeo did very well as a rookie I thought.

He had a 60% completion percentage. I thought that was fantastic. He had 25 TD's to 20 picks, another plus for a rookie.
Now that I'm finished with the first season of the Romeo Legacy, I want some feedback in how I should continue this.
Do you want me to keep doing it the way I am doing it? With some interviews. Some in-game material. Some extra material(predictions, season highlights).

I'll start the off-season sometime tonight. I'll give some detailed info on the draft, and key Free Agent pickups and the coaching signings( I think I need to resign my scout, and 2 coaches, so it's an important off-season this year).

Let's see how the predictions came about...
AFC North:
Winners: Steelers Becuase they're lead by a huge offensive line and great skill players behind those big boys.
Prediction came true. Steelers beat out the Bengals by a game.(1-0)
Losers: Baltimore. Their best player is a Tight End. 'Nuf said.
Baltimore ended the season with an 8-8 Record putting them at 3rd place. Wrong. (1-1)
AFC South:
Winners: Jacksonville. While they haven't had a successful year in a while, I think they've got a legitimate shot this year with the best secondary in the NFL.
Jacksonville tied for first in the division, but didn't win it since the Titans had the head to head advantage. Wrong (1-2)
Losers: Houston. They've been a joke since they've become a Franchise. They have the second worst record in the twenty years they've been around. 2nd only to Dallas(See Below). It won't change this year!
Houston did get last with a 4-12 record. Correct (2-2)
AFC East:
Winners: Denver. They are one of the most experience teams in the league, if they don't win soon, they won't win within 5 years. Book it.
AFC West
Denver won my division pretty easily, posting a 13-3 record. They beat me twice on the season, good for them. Right. (3-2)
Losers: San Diego. Perry Romeo is not the answer. Honestly, who gives up a franchise player for an unproven player? Beats me.
Sadly, I did place last with an 8-8 record. Only fell one game behind KC and Oakland. Right (4-2)
NFC North:
Winners: Green Bay. Last years Superbowl Winners. It's only appropriate that they're my guess to win the horrible NFC North.
Green Bay did win the division but lost in the first round of the playoffs. I guess I hurt their feelings when I beat 'em. Right (5-2)
Losers: Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit. I predict a total of 8 wins between these three teams. They're given SIX since that's how many times they play each other, unless they tie!
They all sucked. Chicago placed 2nd place with a 7-9 record with Minnesota trailing right behind them with a 4-11-1 record and lastly Detroit with a 4-12 record. Tie. (5-2-1)
NFC South:
Winners: New Orleans. The only thing stopping them from winning this division might be their suspect defense. The offense will have no problem scoring.
New Orleans did win, despite almost giving up more points than they scored. Pretty good guess I must say. I'm good :) Right (6-5-1)
Losers: Atlanta. Sort of the opposite of New Orleans, except they can't score. Their defense may stop teams though keeping them in a few, but most likely not.
Atlanta got last with a 6-10 record. So I'm right again. Maybe I should pick winners and losers in real life. Nah, I better not. Right (7-2-1)
NFC East:
Winners: Philadelphia. They have perhaps the most balanced team in the NFL. Star players on both sides of the ball. They'll be a force this year.
Philadelphia did not win the division, but made the playoffs with a 10-6 record. So my Super Bowl prediction is out of reach yet. Wrong (7-3-1)
Losers: Dallas. See Houston, but add more bad stuff. They're just bad. Really bad. I see one or two wins.
Dallas was an easy one(They're really bad, trust me). But boy if the season started after week 13, I'd be in trouble, where they won 4 in a row to close out the season. Right (8-3-1)
NFC West:
Winners: Arizona. They're looking to extend their playoff visits to four in a row. All Pro and future Hall of Famer, Max Brooks will help them see another playoff this year.
Arizona did win their division pretty easily. Right (9-3-1)
Losers: San Fransisco. They've got backup players playing at every starting position basically. They've got nothing to look forward to this year, nor 10 years from now.
Once again, San Fran was an easy pick due to their terrible starting lineup. (10-3-1)
Super Bowl Prediction (2 points)

New Orleans VS Denver....It was a very defensive battle as New Orleans beat Denver 13-6. It was a pretty boring game to watch sim. :)
Final Season Record 10-5-1. Not to bad for my inagural Dynasty predictions.

Thus far, there have been 52 people inducted to the hall of fame, and none of them retired as a Charger. I've had ONE player that was there from the beginning of my career but had to trade him away due to financial concerns. Tom Cooper was a great WR for me, and for St. Louis as well. He had a good career, he was all-league reciever 4 times out of his 13 years. Tom is 3rd in catches all-time, 2nd in TD's, and 2nd in Yards recieving.
That's about it for now. Coming up next will be the signings of coaches and Free Agents. And if I have time, I'll do the draft in the next article(If my girlfriend allows me :)).

Offseason Notables
With a salary cap of 180 Million now, I've got 75 million to spend this year. I had 30 million last year to spend, but I had to leave space for those boys that had monstrous 2nd and 3rd year contracts coming into play. But I'm very surprised at a 75 Million dollar purse.
Coach Signings:
I let my scout go since he just got really bad at scouting. He had poor ratings in all categories except RB and WR's. So I signed Ellison Hunter who had 'good' to 'very good' ratings across the defensive side. My only weaknesses right now are on the defensive side of the ball, so I'll focus on that part of it for the draft and free agent pickups.
I also needed an Offensive Coordinator. The one I had is a great one, as he is a 'very good' teachers in all offensive categories except RB. Which is good for me. I offered him 4 years at 10 million. Jeez. That price is getting up there pretty high these days.
Ticket Prices:
I left ticket prices alone since I made nearly $130 Million last year, so I think I'm alright in that department.
Free Agent Signings:
I need to resign at least 13 out of the 17 eligible free agents on my team. Five of them have 'very good' ratings and they'll be looked at first.
TE, 9 seasons, Rico Brewer(68 Overall): Asking price of 3,980,000 first year counting the bonus. I bring down the 2nd and 3rd year a million and add a 4th year in the deal. But the declined many times before I finally went with there original deal. So his offer is placed and is up for grabs. He'll most likely leave. Oh well.
WR, 7 seasons Bryce Powell(78 Overall): He wants a 3 year deal where the 3rd year comes to a freakin outrageous 27 Million. Sinec I have plenty of cap room, I'm going to offer him plenty of money including two more years. 95.58 million over 6 years is offered and accepted. He is now up for grabs in the FA pool.
The rest I care not to discuss as this is probably boring already for you as it is for me. So I'll hurry up with this part and get to the draft. Yay.
Key Losses:
WR, Bryce Powell. The asshole and his agent decided to pack his bags and go to the NFC where the talent is less so he can pad his stats and retire as possibly the best WR up to this point in time.
Key FA Signings: A decent WR to replace Powell, Paul Martin(50 Overall) , who signed a 3 year deal worth 7 million. He won't completely replace Powell, but will have a good year as he is now the best WR on my team.
Also signed two upgrades at the DE position, and MLB position.
After a pricy FA Period, I've got $34 million left to spend. Plenty of Moola. Perhaps I can make a trade or two.
Offseason continuing injuries:
Flanker, Myron Hammond, who get hit in the eye with a referee's flag is still out with no vision in his eyes. He is still listed as unkown return. Keep him in your prayers tonight.
I had two other ones who were injured until the middle of next season, but they were old and at the end of their contracts, so I let 'em go.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one reading my legacy. 2 views in 4 hours, I guess it's not popular. But I'll go on just in case it has been a bad few hours of reading..
Here goes the draft......
I will be getting pick #15 in rounds 1, 2, 4. I lost some picks to get the #1 pick last year. So my draft class will be pretty weak to say the least. Maybe I can get sleepers in rounds 2 and 4.
The draft class looks pretty decent. There is an 88 adjusted ratings QB who is easily the best player in the draft. But will probably be benched his rookie year since his current rating is 17.
The rest of the draft looks to be loaded with plenty of big boys at the WR position. There are 4 WR's with future ratings listed above 61. I think if there is one of those 4 available at my spot in the draft, I'll snatch one. Otherwise I'll go for a CB or a DL.
The first pick in the draft goes to the Jets, and they selected......
QB, Curtis Glenn.. I figured as much. I'm not too worried about the QB position, so no big deal there.
#2 is a pretty highly rated Offensive Tackle...
All 4 recievers were gone by the time my pick came around with the 4th being selected at pick 14. Damn them.
I decided to go with the CB position and get the speedy(4.34) and hard hitting Tyrone James from Rutgers U. He looks to have a lot of potential. He will intercept a good amount of passes this year while sniffing out plays before they even begin. He's 6 feet tall so he'll have no problem guarding the taller WR's in the game.
Looks good enough for me. Maybe he'll start next year with a potential rating of 58.
Round 2, the Chargers select:
Center, Lee Sturgeon. While I know it wasn't a need, I think he could start this year and make a huge impact. The scout loved his strength up front putting up 42 for a score in the strength department. He could 'potentially' max out all rating bars except endurance, which I'm not too concerned about.
Currently at 17 overall, Lee has plenty of potential. He could possibly become a force when he maxes out at 61 overall. He has a volatility of 79. So he could learn a lot from my smart coaches.
Round 4, the Chargers select:
DT, Dustin Delgado. He was chosen for his run-stopping abilities. Looking to use him in run situations later on in the season.
The Draft Review gave me an overall grade of B. Which sounds reasonable considering I got impact players, but only 3 picks overall.

Final Free Agency Period:
With three more roster active roster spots, it fits perfectly for my three draftees.
If I see a free agent that looks good enough to play, I'll go after him and drop someone from my team.
I did end up needing to add a WR since one of my boys is still blind and recovering. So I signed 16 year veteran to a 1-year deal. He's still a good player at 38 with ratings of 50. He'll be the #2 reciever behind the other newcomer to the team, Paul Martin. In order to complete the transaction I needed to drop DT, Jones(18 overall with no potential).
All three rookies signed with no problem(I used the 4th option to ensure all of them signed. I have plenty of cash at $30 Mill).
Next I'll make a few trade proposals that will try to bring over good to great WR. If no luck after a few tries I will give up with no sadness, as I like my recieving core for Romeo.

Romeo's Post Training Camp Ratings:
They didn't change really except the overall went from 42-43, so no need to post his new ratings. One thing I should mention though, Romeo's Potential rating went down 2 points to 81. Eek! When there is a substantial change in his game I will post a screen shot.
The Green Page for the 2nd year in a row lists Perry Romeo as the best young player this year.
But I think the reason for that is because of this years #1 pick, the QB, is still holding out for something better.

I was able to bring in a 42/58 rated DT to fill in the void of having squat on the D-line.
Rookie's DT Delgado, and C Stuergon will both get the nod on the starting lineup.
Rookie CB, James, has great potential to be a good Nickel Back so he'll do just that this year.

Romeo improves his rating once again as the preseason comes to a close. He is now rated a 46 out of 81.
Jordan Donner's Interview With Perry Romeo:
JD: Hello Romeo 'ROY'. After struggling for most of the preseason, can you say you've worked out your kinks?
PR: That's what preseason is for you know. I have a new recieving core so I have to get used to them. I'm sure we'll come around before the season starts next week.
JD: You open up against Kansas City at home. KC is favored to win by one. What do you think about that?
PR: Vegas will be wrong everytime this year when they go against us. We'll cover and beat any spread put against us. Will I bet on that? No. I can't, I don't want to be banned from football. Pete Rose comes to mind, no thank you.
JD: Well, that pretty much covers it up for the week. Thank you Romeo, good luck this season.

Transactions Before Week One
The Chargers signed LDE Buddy Schindler, a 6 year veteran who is currently on the IR with a knee injury to a 1 year deal worth $2 million. He is listed as Out and will return to full strength in 15 weeks. He is a tremendous player, recording 40.5 sacks in his 5 year career. He is rated 7 Overall, so I am taking a small risk. I think he will do great things for my team in the close future. If he played on crutches, he'd be better than the guys out there right now.

Do you guys want me to keep this one going? Just curious. Although I did delete the Franchise, due to outrageous contract offers 9 years into his career. I don't know why I stopped writing. But I'm just curious. Would it be cool to do it again? Do it the same way as I did here? Differently(what ways?)? Thanks for feedback. Peace.
