Special teams disappointment

I'm discovering that decent return men are hard to find in FOF 2004. And superstar return men (guys with an 80+ in one rating or the other, or 60+ in both) are scarcer than hens' teeth. The vast majority of players who could return kicks have ratings of 0, and I sometimes have to scrape the bottom of the free agent barrel to find someone who's just fair at it.

I kind of wish the other special teams ratings were the same way, but they're not. It's pretty easy to find a good long snapper, holder, or special teams gunner. And one doesn't have to look too far to find people who are 90+ at any of them.

I think that the difference is that you can't sign them as uundrafted free agents like in the past. But they are there. You just have to spend a fourth or fifth-rounder on a guy who you have to hope breaks out to make him useful beyond his special teams ability.

I have one of those guys. He is a running back. He has high ratings in Breakaway speed, and Elusiveness. He also has decent Hole Recognition. Some of his ratings are nearly zero, though. But I've kept him just because of his good special teams ability (~65 PR, ~85 KR, ~50 ST). I keep resigning him. He makes over a million to be my backup. He actually took over as backfield leader this year.

Last Year, he rushed for over 1300 yards. though. I couldn't afford a decent starter. This year I drafted his replacement at #6 overall.
