View Full Version : Should we delete the college football forum?

I only ask because there's like 10 topics on college football on the front page here. Its obvious there is no reason for it to have a separate section. As far as I can remember, it was basically set up so Horns Manic would stop flooding the GD forum with stupid Texas stuff... now that he's gone, can we get rid of it?

Why separate 1/2 of all football discussion? Otherwise, lets just add an NFL forum.

It would have had more traffic if it hadn't turned into a Big12 forum shortly after it's conception.

Good poll. If I recall, the college football forum was originally created because HM tried to dominate the GD forum with college football trash talk. I'll listen to what others say, but I've been inclined for a while to merge it in with the main forum.

Cool, just thought I'd pose it since college football is really hitting its stride, and the forum for it doens't get too much traffic anyway.

And yeah, I remember the Texas v. the world days well... sometimes I miss Horns, for purely sexual reasons.... I mean for comic reasons... yeah, thats it.

the football board is boring. there is so much talk on the main forum anyway. just get rid of it

Definitely think it should be merged back into here..it belongs here moreso than most discussions we have. ;)

I THINK I can merge it all onto this forum, so that nothing is lost. Pretty overwhelming sentiment in favor of the change, so going to check on it right now.

That's what it basically was. When HornsManiac first showed up, all he did was post new topics about how the Longhorns were freakin' awesome, so the mods created a forum just for him so he would leave the rest of us alone. The last remnants of HornsManiac should be swept away.

Maybe we'll also get more FOFC Top 25 voters if it is in the General Discussion section. Looking forward to a Jan. 5th poll :)
