Now, by all means, this is far from a complaint. I'm actually quite excited about it. But what gives?

On my entire team, I only have one player who does not have a Solid or better rating in at least one of his attributes. However, this player just put up a tie for the best star rating of anyone on my team ever, which includes an Excellent Scorer/Weak Passer with Solid Experience at forward. I'm wondering how?

Esteban José Pinilla (8590509)
24 years, solid form, healthy
A pleasant guy who is tranquil and dishonest.
Has poor experience and poor leadership abilities.

Nationality: España
Assessed value: 129 000 US$

Stamina: excellent Goaltending: wretched
Playmaking: passable Passing: inadequate
Winger: passable Defending: wretched
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: inadequate

Pinilla posted a 3.5 star output this afternoon played as an offensive winger.

For reference, Kuscu, his opposite, has Solid Winger and PM, Weak Passing, and Inadequate Experience, and in Passable form put up 3 stars offensively today.

Pinilla becomes roughly a passable winger with passable passing while playing offensively. He's in solid form so he'll be playing over his usual abilities, a 1/2-star boost isn't uncommon. His passable playmaking skill also adds to his overall rating.

What Daed said, or it was that he was trying to impress some soccer groupie in the stands.

Without trying to solve this with math; I simply think stars are unreliable. I am not sure if they round up or down or whatever--but sometimes a half star doesn't make much of a difference--sometimes even a whole star doesn't seem to. They place different weight on different abilities and it just sucks... it confuses and that is about it.
