Not sure if I'm overlooking any sides effects, but could the "use of injured players" be taken out of the game plan and put somewhere else?
The reasoning behind this is that I like to sim though a few seasons at a time. Sometimes I'll see a guy get hurt toward the end of one season and going into the next he still has 10 weeks recovery time, an ACL injury for example.
In the current system I have two options. 1 - Put him on the IR. This will kill his ratings, as he would have sat one and a half years by the time he plays his next game. 2 - Let the scout handle when he plays. But the scout will bring him back as soon as he's questionable and (surprise) he goes down with an ACL injury for another 35 weeks in his first game.
Either way the player’s career is likely over. Short of micromanaging the gameplan I don’t see a current way around this.
