From time to time I like to frolic in a meadow that has wild weed in it. The THC content is so small in each plant that it would be nearly impossible to get high from it. I smoke it all. Give me donuts hippie.

I loved Atari football. One of my all time favorite gaming stories is centered on a night of Atari Football. A good friend who had never played Atari football before came to visit my family one year. I was an Atari football veteran at the age of 13 or so. I had even pretty well mastered the running game. My friend was immediately hooked. Eventhough I completely plastered him over the course of the first several games, he insisted on continuing. Over the course of the evening he improved. His improvement was slow for the first couple of hours, and then things started to click for him. He was starting to use my own passing game tricks against me. After about four hours the only thing that seperated us was my running game and my veteran status. The games got closer and closer still. Finally, in one game he was actually leading late, but I managed to grab a late lead. He only had time for one play. He dropped back to pass, but my pass rush had him hemmed into the corner of the endzone. It was looking good for the little white men. Then he got a pass off, and past my Dline. His receiver was in the opposite end zone. To get the pass off he had to direct the ball (the offense could control the flight of the ball once thrown in Atari football) well away from his receiver. I had the little white man I was controlling move after it, but he got it past me. Time had expired. All he had to do was guide that ball to his receiver in the endzone, and he was doing that. I started to set my controller down in defeat, but then something happened. Something that would make this the most memorable Atari football game in the history of our family room. As the ball approached the endzone, and my friends exuberance grew, the lights flickered and the room went dark. Power failure. I had been spared from defeat. He probably still claims to have won that game, but I know better. It was fate that protected me that night.

I was reading all the one liner's down through here and then came up to that post. My first reaction was, "Chief Rum's been here".

My posts don't hold a candle when compared to the encyclopedic replies of Mr. Rum.

You know, 2,000 years ago, people wrote continuously on scrolls of papyrus. But that was hard to read, so they invented paragraphs. ;)
