I guess Joe's working on that threads deleted/ban user ratio to get it even with the current NFL stats...or something...

Good to see they've got their priorities straight.

Make one of the most eagerly anticipated football text sims ever playable

Or clean up the mess of a few stoopid jerks

Oh well,.......there's always NCAA 2004 beckoning me on the XBOX

Anybody know what happened. I went over there to see if any updates were out and to look at a few things and bam, nothing. Was there a flame war in progress or something?

I was hoping they would do that a while ago. Really degenerated fast and it was really just a handful of people back and forth. Time could be better spent working on patches/tweaks and making the game more stable. Maybe this will force people to cool off a little.

On a side note, at least when it comes back on, we'll be able to see all the "This game sucks, I keep getting RTEs" threads we can imagine.

We could make a movie: The War of the Fanboys

Anyone got any ideas on what the script should include???

Here could be some of the major roles:

Skydog: James Earl Jones
Joe Stallings: Mark Wahlberg
Slapbone: The kid who played Harry Potter
Jason: Patrick Stewart

I had been on the boards over there earlier today, and I saw alot of the complaining and arguing back and forth, but I've never heard of that as a reason for clensing the boards.

Have our friends over there just gotten sick and tired of the bitching between people, or are they choosing to stop listening to the legitimate compalints for a while?

Again, this is unheard of to me, has anything especially bad been going on that I haven't heard of?

Uhm....yeah....I'm pretty sure it had 100% to do with the continuing degeneration of the arguments. The fact that people weren't letting go and trying to re-start deleted threads. They had been listening to legitimate complaints for a while, and most of that had died down because they posted that they were fixing it by tomorrow. Don't read too much into it.

It's just rediculous. I've been spending the last couple days over there reading and posting numerous messages about bugs to try and help fix the mess that's TPF, but I think it's a futile effort with everything going on there.

I don't think it's a futile effort to help fix the bugs. They will be releasing a patch sometime early tomorrow that I think will get rid of most, if not all, of the problems that you are having. Don't let a few bad posters steer you away from the good a lot are trying to accomplish. Just think if someone judged this board just based on Hornsmaniac.

I guess I should be more clear. It's not the bad posters that are steering me away. It's mostly that I feel that all of my bug report posts made after the 1st day or release have been ignored or passed over.

I guess I'll try emailing the makers directly in the future.

I have had a good response from the board over there. I'm sorry that your experience hasn't been the same. Try out the new patch and see if that helps you out.
