I was going to buy TPF but since they decided to use canadian rules (by this I mean no 2pt conversions, timeouts, offside kicks etc.) I am going to pass and maybe pick it up after a hell of alot of patching.I ahve seen a few good things written about Brian Nichols game fast break college basketball can I get some feedback on this one.I aslo , might play this since I am a big college fan.I am especially interested in what TPF didn't offer in game depth. What's the audio like is there any or is it like fof? How's the Computer ai?I think we would be interested in playing the games out so in game will be important.Neither my son or myself would be simming seasons at a time.BTW HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL.

My suggestion to you would be different angle i think depending..
if you have say a xbox/ps2.. maybe espn college hoops? I think that would hold both of your interests really well.. I throughly enjoy espn college hoops.. and building a crummy program up so you can get better job offers is great :)

NCAA Football 2004 for the PS2 is in my opinion the best graphic based (as apposed to text based like TCY) Football game ever.

Any DDR game is good for your kids, so they won't get fat playing other games :)

On the thoughts so far, NCAA Football is the best game, IMO for PS2, and either that or Madden depending on if you want college/pro would be a solid choice. For FBCB, download the trial. You get fully playable 3 days for free, and this should give you time to figure out if it right for you. For ESPN College Basketball, it depends on what your style is. I got this for Christmas and I'm unsure how much I'll play it. The recruiting is solid for a console game, but not as good as NCAA Football and a joke compared to FBCB, and I've never been into playing basketball as much, and enjoy NBA Street 2 more for gameplay.
A lot depends on the age and tastes of your son. If he's like under 12, he's probably not going to be interested in text sims, and a graphical PS2 game (NCAA/ESPN) but I can't really say too much without knowing him.

I bought Fast Break College Basketball on Xmas day. My wife has probably asked 5 or 6 times now, "You are still playing that game?"
This may be the best sport sim game I've bought.

FBCB is the best text sim on the market right now in my opinion. The AI is great. There is no sound to my knowledge. Its like FOF.
But it is very addictive and both you and your kid will get fat.
