No, I'm not laid off. Yes, I'm thoroughly and completely disgusted with my current employer.

As I'm in the process of quietly getting ahold of various friends and inquiring, figured I may as well check with the Collection Of Lunatics here.

Any of you gainfully employed folk think your company could use an experienced programmer / sysadmin? I'm lookin'. (Yeah yeah, me and several thousand other IT folks, but hey!)

No, I don't particularly care about staying in Chicagoland at this point.

Funny you should mention the Air Force, I almost did join when I was out of work for a long time a few years back. But. No. Oh, and the Navy is too close to a real military service.

Besides, Afoci has a thing for sailors, and I don't want him dreaming about me in a sailor uniform while staring at pictures of diseased yaks.

I had this discussion with someone awhile ago...is anyone else just amazed that the Simpsons are STILL freaking on?

I have a thing for sailors?!? Well if you consider tying myself up and dipping my weiner in wax after stick thread down my pee hole and starting it on fire to wax my pubes well looking at pics of sailors a sailor thing, then so be it.

Hey, same here (except have more management/sales type background and don't want to live outside of the North Georgia area). Of course, I've already tried to mine this board a couple of times.

Anyway, leads in any kind of service/sales/retail industry job would be greatly appreciated.
