Did I hear that right? He was fined for mocking the Joe Horn celebration. They said he was tauinting. Taunting who? A player whose team he wasn't even playing against? Their second response was even better: A player can celbrate on his own but the use of props is a finable offense. Uh, there was no prop.

For those of you that don't know the situation. Following a touchdown, he and his center ran to the goal post, pretended to frisk it but found nothing. Members of the other team even found it funny and not an attempt to taunt them.

:rolleyes:

Doesn't the NFL have more important things to worry about?

No kidding! I swear that Carr's socks didn't match his teammates' socks! Now that the need to take care of!

You expect different for a league that fines players for the length of their socks?

Well at least it is not as bad as the NBA, where players get a "T" for looking the wrong way at another player. Yes, looking; no words exchanged , no physical contact, just a bad look.

NFL=No Fun League.

Compare that to the Big Wiggle by Antoine Walker (tell me that's not taunting), or the gang tackle of the scorer in the hockey... or even the near-coreographed goal celebration scenes in Soccer.

NFL doesn't want people to identify with players. Instead, they say "Root for the team"
