Yes, include CART, F1, ALMS, Busch, Trucks, ARCA, F-3000, Nissan World Series etc..... and you'll have lots of happy customers. It really surprises me that somebody hasn't tried something like this.

Dodger:

Not only do I like the series of games (I just redownloaded RotK3 for PC and spent a couple hours playing it.. I sprung for the 4 book set of the story of the Three Kingdoms..

and if That isn't crazy enough.. I'm thinking about buying the 58 DVD/VCD set of the Chinese ROTK series, (subtitled in English). It will cost me a pretty penny ($100), but hell, it'd be worth it :)

Personally, Anxiety, I just play Master of Magic, because I don't really like the "spiritual successors" like the Age of X games. The one game that seems like a decent attempt, but which is an indie game pretty much done by one person, is Leylines. You can take a look at it here, I think it's pretty good for what it is.

Master of Magic still plays well today. A sequel would be a dream.

A true M.U.L.E. sequel would be nice too. (Space horse was not IMO)

System Shock 3

PC based Starcraft sequel (Doesn't have to be RTS)

Anything Co-op, a playing form negected way too long.

What I'd like to see:

1. Auto racing owner career text sim - The best of the current lot is Grand Prix Wizard (http://www.wizardgames.com/gpw.htm), which is showing its age. Someone should try again.

2. Tennis player career text sim - Take the nucleus of the obscure game Tennis Elbow, add a smidge of ITP, and a healthy dose of the real world, and I think you'd have something special.

3. Colonization 2 - Much as I liked Pirates!, this is the game Sid should have remade first.

4. Horse racing owner career sim - I can't understand why we've gone BACKWARDS from Hooves of Thunder. HoT is 9 years old for goodness sakes!

5. TCY 2 - But ONLY if Jim changes his vision of where college football is and should go.

WOW!!!!

I don't want a big studio to redo any games. The things that I find important in games just aren't a priority anymore. :(

Sachmo, I've been pretty impressed with Leylines so far, the background graphics are nice and the whole thing feels pretty sharp. I particularly like how you can edit in a variety of new features. For a shareware/$15 game, it's pretty sweet.

I'd like a game that does all my work for me, goes to class for me, does my homework for me.

I'm no advanced programmer, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how NO ONE has created a simple graphical tabletop that lets you put custom made objects.. that have properties on them.. and move them around in real-time.

No copyright violation.. and with the popularity of Mage Knight, I swore I'd see this by now.

Or maybe it's out there.. anyone know of any tools, programs, etc.. that let you play tabletop Warhammer online?

I played it for a few hours this morning and I really enjoyed it! I was particularly impressed when my raft unit that was garrisoning a leyline in a lake was killed by the harsh enviornment. I was confused, and went to the space, only to notice that the lake had turned to ice! Sweet!

I'd like to see this done well for any war sim. They all seem to focus on shoot 'em up game style while completely ignoring legit tenents of genuine wartime tactics and strategy.

In particular though, I'd like to see someone who really understands what airpower means to war. The Jane's games do a pretty good job capturing the operational art of air warfare, on a very micro-level, but really disregard the tactical/strategic level, or anything else going on outside your own cockpit. Somebody, please build a war sim that captures the true essence of things like ISR operations, C2, SEADS/DEADS, CAS, TCT/TST, and airlift support.

Damn... thats a good idea....

I haven't looked for any Warhammer specific items but, rather 40K and I haven't noticed anything. 40K does have a few computer games out there but, nothing that simulates actually playing. I don't think you will ever see a Warhammer/40K game just because Games Workshop wouldn't want to kill their miniature sales...

Although, I thought there was a Warhammer online game in the works but, it was going to be more Ultima like... not a table table game.

I think when the popularity of warhammer table top minature sales wanes a bit.. they'll consider a online game as a last gasp to get money.. but not before then

I second that (I actually emailed Microprose a few years back and offered to update it free of charge if they'd give me the source code, but never heard back from them).

A political simulation where you could run for office, raise money, have scandals...all that stuff.

I ran an online game a few years back that was pretty successful and there are a number of online legislative simulations now, but none are as good as the ones in the old days and they don't run for anything really.

But a game would be really nice.

I was once in an online political sim, it was a lot of fun. However I went on a long holiday and by the time I came back it had haemorraged a ton of players and was forced to move hosts. It just wasn't fun anymore.

Unfortunatley I don't think there is a large enough user base to run one here. Or is there....
