In 2007 I left La Tech to go to Purdue which I figured would be my milestone move, that obviously did not work out very well. To make matters worse won 20, 21, 30, and 31 games the next four years. Including two trips to the Sweet 16, I knew when I left they were going to be good because I had one of the top recruiting classes in the country bringing in five four star recruits to go with all other underclassmen.

My dilemna has come back again, I just had a great recruiting class with Niagra including landing at Top 30 player. I got 5 job offers this year, none to major conferences but some good programs in the A-10, MWC, and MVC.

What to do......good thing I have to leave so I can think about it for a while.

Glad to see you started at Marshall, but I don't understand why you didn't consider that your "milestone move"?:)

Seriously though, I'm a person that likes to sit around and coach at a school for a while and wait for the perfect offer. I would stay and try to build some history at Niagra before moving on.

Yeah, i say stay at your school for a while. Especially if you have some great freshmen coming into the program, stick with it for a few more years and see just how much you can build that program up!

I asked for more money for the budget and they said no my performance was not good enough. Then I got the 51st rated recruiting class, now I might stay a few more years.

I took the job at Penn State, their expectation is to avoid last place. Right now we are 15-3 and in second place in the conference at 5-1.

Frickin 22-8 and left out of the NCAA Tourney. Illinois who we beat twice gets in though.
