I updated the default league to have real life pre-season tournaments, and gave every team their correct nickname, took a bit of time and I am willing to share my hard work if anyone is interested.
But as I exit and bask in the greatness of my work, I click on "Edit Default League" again just to double check I didn't miss any teams..
when I get a bad bad bad popup:
Run-time Error 9, subscript out of range.
I am on XP and using 1.0.6.
I cannot lose this.

Send me the following files from the folder where the game is installed and I should be able to figure out the problem:
Conferences.dat
Teams.dat
Tourneys.dat

Hr, i've got a question.. without the conf promotion/relegation option on.. is it possible for a independant team to get invited into a conference?

Edit: Sorry, I read that wrong. Independents stay Independents without the conference movement options turned on.

Sent! I should also mention I just re-installed FBCB yesterday after similar errors with the default editor.

Found the problem. I'll upload a fixed build later today.

This should now take care of the problem.

heavy, this may be because I am just simming multiple seasons, but no records are being kept. I see no tournament champions listed, no season awards, and coaches have no history (but do have wins kept for the current season on the coach records, but seem to be erased with each new season).

This is probably a stupid question but....
I haven't played FBCB as I was initially turned off by some issues with the initial build. However, I hear so much good stuff from various people and I want to give it a go with this latest version. Anyway, I have the original 1.0.0 version. Do I need to download any other patches except for the link above?

Let me know if this happens with the new version I posted. What it sounds like is part of the save got cut off. There was an issue with saving and then closing the game that was making this possible that should be fixed in that build.

That should do it unless it is the actual demo version from before the initial release. The patch has everything needed to update the normal download. If it was the 1-season demo, you'll also need this file:

If you run into any issues at all, just send me an email or a pm and we'll get it squared away.

Any word on when the "official" 1.07 might come out, HR?
Thanks,

I had the full version and it's working fine with the patch. I'm really enjoying the game this time around. Thanks.

Depends on how much more gets squeezed into it. There are a few things I still wanted to do before it is ready.

I don't know why I didn't enjoy this game the first time I played it right after release, but I'm having a blast with this game now. 4 or so hours just went by very quickly and I'm just finishing up my early recruiting months in my first season. I can't wait to see how some of these recruits develop :) I would keep playing some more if I didn't have to catch up on some sleep tonight (of course I planned on going to bed about 2 hours ago.)

I started the career immediately after you told me the new version was up, meaning I ran it with the latest download.

I did a test. When it didn't keep any records, I was simming multiple seasons.
This time, I simmed the first season individually, no coach, just went through and hit Sim Month, Sim Month, etc, and simmed the enitre season through the calendar.
This time, the records saved. So it must be with multiple simming.

When you saw this was it after loading the game or did you just start a game, sim seasons, and then check it?

Started, simmed checked.
I restarted however, simmed one season slowly as stated above, then after that worked, quick simmed 8 more years with no problems.
