Firing coaches?

Sorry, I'm new... but I'm in my first season, and I'm trying to play purely as the GM and let the coach do the substituions and gameplan. However, I just noticed... is there any way to fire the coach?????? Am I missing that option somewhere?

At the beginning of each year there's a staff hiring phase where you can hire and fire your scout, head coach, offensive and defensive coordinators. Because of when the first season starts you can't do this until the beginning of your second year.

To add to Peregrine's explanation, you can't fire the coach in-season, and to fire any of the staff (coach, scouts, coordinators) in the offseason, simply sign a replacement.
