OT: ESPN College Hoops Question

Can anybody with this game help me figure out how to un-redshirt one of my players?

I swear, this game is great, but the freakin' manual is worthless.

The manual is worthless.. The only time you can un-redshirt your player is if you have a season ending injury. If so, go to the injury screen where you view his injury and hit "O" if you have the PS2 version. I'm not sure on the button for the X-box version, but I think it is a shoulder button? By the way, my freaking game freezes everytime I try to un-redshirt one of my players this way (but it does take me to the un-redshirt screen.)
I've asked Sega about it and they said maybe my PS2 is dirty, but I took the game and the memory card to a friend's house and it still didn't work and the game doesn't have any smudges. I'm still waiting to hear back from Sega again.

Thanks Eaglesfan. My starting C tore his achilles tendon and is out for the season, but I'm 10-1 without him (and without unredshirting one of my other players), so I might just try and go through the season with 11 players. I'll try this when I get home and let you know if my game freezes up as well.

Let me know how it goes. I was 7-3 when my starting C blew out his knee :(. I don't have any good centers on my roster without this guy, but I have a very promising freshman center on my redshirt list. I have the PS2 version and I keep hoping sega will send me a disk to fix the problem or something, but that is looking unlikely. Eventually, I will get over the disappointment and just play out the season with this "imposed house rule" Least that is how I'm trying to reframe it in my mind, as this game is really a very good game and would be a great game if it wasn't for the occasional freezes.

my game froze when I tried to dress one of my redshirt freshmen as well. :(

Let me know if Sega ever gets back to you. This is a horrible bug... almost a show stopper.

I'm sorry to hear that :( I will let you know if they every get back to me again. They took about 10 days to reply the first (and only) time and it's been about 10 days since I attempted all of their suggestions and emailed them again letting them know it wasn't working. It really was a show stopper for me as I still haven't played it almost 20 days later, but as I said I'm attempting to work myself up to it again as otherwise it is a very good game.
