your team doesn't make it. Last year I got out of the playoffs pretty quickly because of the Giants' lose. Even in 2000 when the Giants went to the Super Bowl, I didn't pay much attention to the other games because I was so emotionally invested in the Giants games.
Is it just me, or do the playoffs seem more enjoyable overall when you don't have any large emotional attachment to any one team?
See this is something I don't have to worry about. The Lions and playoffs..... hahahahaha

I think I agree. You can enjoy each game for what it is, and not have to worry about your team, thinking about potential matchups, etc...
The NFL playoffs are like a month-long holiday to me.
Can't wait for this weekend.

I find it to be the opposite. If I don't have someone to root for, my interest level goes down. Of course, I still watch every game, but I don't care as much.

I have to agree, with the Bucs at home, I can sit back and enjoy guys like Brett Favre and Hasselbeck duking it out in Lambeau. That was a fun game to watch.

Oh, and it's been absolutely gut-wrenching when the Jets get knocked out of the playoffs. Last year was very painful, and don't even get me started about the 98 AFC Championship.... it's like a horror movie I remember every scene of.
