Hey guys,

I enjoyed your thoughts on the Digital Camera. My next big purchase is going to be a LCD. Currently, I have a 19 inch Viewsonic flat screen CRT. I hear that the main advantages of LCD's are the size savings , and the ease on the eyes (for text at least). I heard a rumor awhile ago that LCD's aren't that great for graphical games due to slower refresh rates.

Does anyone have one and could possibly make a recommendation? Please list some Pro's and Con's as well that you've noticed.

The one Im looking at and have heard is excellent for the price and has gotten great review is the NEC LCD 1760/1765. They also make a 15' and 19'.

I'd heard one reason that LCD's aren't (weren't?) as good for games has more to do with their resolution. Generally, then tend to have an "optimal" resolution. They can handle other resolutions, but the quality wont quite be the same.

Whether this is factual or more anectodal I don't know.

It seems to me that most LCD's have a max of 1280x1024. I generally don't play games in any higher resolution than that, but then again you make an interesting point with the "optimal" resolution.
