I'm trying to find a guy with solid leadership, and is sympathetic.. how would I search for someone with these traits? Also, how much would I be looking to spend on a clown?

sympathetic/solid is really only a "semi-clown". I wouldnt pay more than 1000 for one.
popular/solid go for like 60k i think last time i looked. check the transfer ads on here and hattrick. but i dont know of a real great way to search for one.

Well, I'm just starting out, so I'd be looking to get a semi-clown for now I guess. Thanks for the help.

Go to the big countries, pick all players under 19 (recent youth pulls) and with maximum values of 0. Check each and every one until you find a popular player with solid leadership. If you get lucky and find one, bid 10K (the maximum). It may take you a few weeks, and you will have more success if you do over the weekend when the players are just appearing on the market.

Best way to get a semi is a YS pull like I did this week.

You really don't need one at this stage, IMO. Better ways to spend your bucks.
