Yeah, one of the few shows on TV i've watched over the last year. He has some hilarious bits. The blind black white supremacist sketch was the funniest damn thing i've seen in a long time. As was the Real World one.

I thought the one with the gangster rappers was pretty funny.

Dave Chappelle's Killin' Them Softly HBO Special was awesome a few years ago.
Chappelle is a pimp.

Chappelle is good but he's vastly overrated.

I don't know. I think i like his show cause i thought he was a hack and was pleasently surprised after his first show. I underrated him. Though i still don't like the movies he's been in, and would probably hate his standup. But he makes some funny sketches.

Ironically, I was looking around for his Killin' Them Softly DVD, but couldn't find it until just recently. I think it was two years ago when I was looking for it, because I knew he did that in what...2000?
Nevertheless, a must buy pickup for sure. Don't think he's done any other stand up since then, but if he did, I'd like to check those out myself.

Yep, same here. As I posted this I thought to myself "I wonder if this is out on DVD yet?" after trying many times in the past. Sure enough, it is now available through Amazon.

I think Chris Rock is overrated too in a way. He's funny, but yeah, the movies he does aren't at all anymore. As a comedian he has his moments but a lot of it is monotonous.
Carlin is my hero. But aside from Carlin, I still love listening to Sam Kenison, he was amazing.

Its all about Bill Hicks for standup. I love Carlin as well.

I agree those are awesome bits.
I've noticed the bits he does are either really good, or really bad

I saw Dave live 2 years ago. I've seen the best guys live too: cosby, seinfeld, carlin; dave chapelle had me laughing harder than any of them...at a third of the cost. If you have a chance to see him sometime, do it, it's fantastic. As far as the show I'm thrilled it's back for another season. When he plays that dying cancer patient and beats his ass in NBA street I couldnt help cracking up: "What, you think I dont own a playstation? I'm RICH BIATCH".
