Baby was brought home from the hospital yesteday morning and since he was born at 11 pm, I guess he's still suffering from some sort of jet lag and he still thinks it pretty cool to sleep all day and be up all night, asking to be fed every two hours or so... ;)

Every tiny minutes of his sleep today has been used for me and my wife to get some sleep ourselves. There was no question I'd start fooling around on the computer...

Thanks a lot Wr. Wed. The walkovers are not a problem, since my spreadsheet forces a 0 when it sees a NSI lower than 10, and that 0 is then forced out of the equation, so it's probably even better if you leave it in there for me...

The +/- is approximate. It compares your NSI to the last stored rating, but thanks to the way in which the ratings get calculated, it's possible that the + or - prediction won't be correct. I'd forgotten that would be showing up, it's so trivial to also calculate the ratings that I ran the calc at the same time I calculated the USCHO ratings, so the +/- part has something to go on this week (last week they all showed "NC" because there was no existing rating).

NAIWF - it's actually easier for me to just leave you in. You're already in the list, so it's scripted, I'd have to make an effort (adding a specific WHERE clause to my query) to take you out.

Dola, vexroid, it's out so quick because I figure the slowest time on Hattrick is at 9 or 10 pm, and at that time on Sunday AFAIK all the league matches are over (and if they're not, certainly they are for everyone in FOFC). So that's when I pull the ratings, no sense in bogging down the server when it's already busy.

Yeah, I meant to leave in the walkovers of teams still ranked in our rankings. I pulled Ockham's razors last week, when he lost a walkover and posted about him leaving the game. Unless I hear from the owner of a team that loses a walkover, I will almost always automatically pull that team from the rankings for good. You can do that for Ockham's Razors too.

One quick question for you: is your app checking for owner changes every once in a while?

Reason I ask this is if it's getting the NSI with the team ID, we may keep on retrieving the NSI for teams that may not be part of FOFC anymore if, for example, a team stops playing and his owner is replaced by someboday new...
