The time is drawing closer to this game being released in North America (beginning-middle of February). If anyone else knows anything about this game, what are your thoughts on it? I personally hate Nintendo/Square right now for making it necessary to have 4 GBAs and link cables to get the full value out of multiplayer. Would've it been that hard to allow controllers to be used for multiplayer, with an OPTION to use GBAs?
If I don't get any replies, no worries. :) I realize not everyone here has a Cube, nor does everyone here care about Final Fantasy.

I am a Final Fantasy fan but don't own a Gamecube so I haven't paid much attention to the progress of this game. What do you need all the GBA's for?

Well, it's a 1-4 player game. If you have more than one player, the others (as well as yourself) need a GBA to play. You can look at your screen to see your items, or some nonsense like that. If you play single player, you only get yourself and a moogle... which would suck, IMHO. I can't believe you're forced to use GBAs to play multiplayer. It looks really fun, but I'm the only one with an Advance out of my friends... and they're not going to buy one just to play this game.

I hear its the bomb if you do have 4 people with the GBA's. I too agree its pretty cheezy that you need them, but I'll probably only play single player anyways. The reason for making the game that way is that S/E got a kickback from a nintendo fund cause they made the game connective with the GBA.
And anyways, you do need the little screen so that you can check through your inventory every time its your turn to make a move. Imagine having everyone stop everytime one player needs to make a move.
Played Pacman Vs. yet? I hear its awesome, and I got it for free, but i just need a GBA so that I can play.

PacMan Vs is great! I rented it with a group of friends a few weeks ago, and it was a blast! People who rarely play video games can pick it up and be competitive in minutes, and everyone enjoyed it. Definately a great game for young and old alike.

Hmm...I'm honestly really curious about the single player campaign of this game. I wonder, if this is going to turn out something similar to Phantasy Star Online?
In any case, when it comes to RPGs like this...I'm more solo than anything else. When's the exact due date anyways? Since Fable got pushed back to June this year, I figure I might give this a tango.

From what I've read, single player is suppossed to be OK, but the real fun lies with multiplayer. It looks so damn fun, but you need 4 GBAs.. :(
Release date on EBGames is February 9th..
