View Full Version : OT: FOFC PartyPoker Night

PartyPoker has somewhat recently added private $.50/1 tables. This seems like it might be a good compromise between those not wanting to play for money, and those who do. Would any of the FOFC poker contingent be interested in setting up a poker night of some sort?

Post any comments in here. I'll let others throw out any ideas they have.

Well, early results show that we'd probably have enough interest to swing something together. What works best for you guys?

Late weekend nights? Weekend afternoon? Late weeknights?

I'm usualy open somewhat in the nights, I do have homework and other things going on randomly (I'm in college, so no real set schedule), but I mean, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights are pretty solid.

Any nights after 7 est. I've only played on PokerStars. I assume PartyPoker works the same way?

jaeenox: Yea', it's basically the same.

A Sunday night looks like it might work well... if we get a few more people interested, we could set some sort of definitive date.

I would be interested. I am available most evenings/nights.

Just let me know when.

I'm interested as well. Most evenings are fine, just be sure to give some advance warning.

Can I transfer funds from, say AbsolutePoker to PartyPoker?

I am up for it as well.

If anyone does not have an account at PartyPoker and wants a referral, let me know. If you sign up through a referral you get a $25 bonus after you play a certain number of hands (I think it is 125). In addition your bonus, the person that refers you gets a $50 bonus and you both get entered in a drawing to take part in their PartyPoker Million Cruise.

Just PM your email address and name to me if you want a referral...

not directly, you would need some 3rd party involved. I use Neteller for all my poker stuff.

Who would be able to make this a week from Sunday at 9pm EST?

I think most will be busy watching a litte something called....

THE SUPER BOWL!

Seriously though, if it's to be a Sunday night, either start it this week (then skip one), or 2 weeks from now. Unfortunately I can't make this Sunday if it does go that way... but Sunday is generally very good for me.

Yea', let's say 2 weeks from this Sunday, for now. Should be enough time to for people who are interested to make minor schedule adjustments accordingly if they desire.

I'm also a go for this... I can play whenever. Nights are good...

just e-mail me when you guys set the game up.

how much do you think I would have to deposit into partypoker to play a game like this?

Also, can't we get a game sooner than 2 weeks? ;)

Maybe we can make it a weekly thing. Lets say, every Wed. night at 8:00 or something like that. Whoever can play show up...

Sunday's work well for me.

I like the idea of having a scheduled weekly day & time. I vote for Sundays at 9pm est

bumpity bump.

Ok, the proposed start for this is this coming Sunday...

who's still interested?

So we're talking what... .50/1 private table? Seems like we could all play for a while buying in at 30 bucks (unless you are a terrible player :) ).

I'll be in for sure!! But I think you have to deposit at least $50.00 at party poker (I could be wrong though)

the minimum depost is indeed 50. I was actually referring to how much one really needs to "sit down" at the table with. 30 bucks is fine if you can play at all.

So 9PM on Sunday it is. I can play until about 11....

bump.

So i guess we'll try to give this a go tonight. I've just been cleaning up in the sit-n-go tourneys today. Most people play so poorly that I swear you could fold your way into the top 3.
