The Rules

The rules are the same as all FOFC "I’m With Stupid" Contests.

The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Highest score wins.

No collaborating in any way. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by e-mail or in any other way with other potential contestants.

All determinations of "matches" and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this puzzle, i.e. the person posting the questions unless otherwise noted. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, and that sort of thing.

Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American. However...

Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. If I ask "name a color of the rainbow," and you and four other people responded "black" - you get five points, period, even if it is not technically a correct answer to the question.

Q.5 is preeeeety tough for us internationals, so I had to make a guess.

Sorry about that, guys. That was me thinking like your usual ethnocentric American. It never occurred to me that different commercials might be shown outside of the country, although it makes sense now (not to mention the possibility you didn't see the game because of its timing with your time zone wasn't a good time to watch football--for instance, I think the game, a four hour affair usually probably starts about 11 p.m. in your neck of the woods, eh?).

I'm thinking of a compromise on that one of some sort, but I haven't come up with one yet. I have to weigh the fairness of correcting that situation for you guys against the fairness of whatever that will affect the American-North American voters.

I don't suppose it helps any that the most popular commercials were talked about for days after the game, including links to video feeds so everyone could see them. :)

That might actually be the solution right there. If you want to do a search for those threads, you will probably find the link and you can watch a couple. See if you can find one you recognize. I would accept a new answer to #5 from internationals up until the deadline for IWS if you want to do that.

If enough people have a problem with that, of course, I am afraid I would have to just accept your original answers, but I think this is an obvious disadvantage that our American voters won't mind seeing corrected, even if they don't benefit from it.

Anyway, back to the IWS itself, we are now at 36 total votes! We have blown by IWS#56 and the original goal of 40 is in sight. Heck, with the time we have left, we could gun for 50! So good work and keep it up, guys.

Yeah, on British TV we get our own ad's, but often when the US network takes a break we go to the studio for some more in depth analysis. When I watched some NFL in the states on holiday it just sucked with the constant ad breaks...
