Fair choice, but Castleberry's Beef Stew has more of that lard/oily broth to it.

I've never had it. I'll have to give it a try.

My money Manwhich recipe, is to make the Manwich up, set it to the side. THen I open a pack of canned biscuits into a 9by9 pan. Press them out flat, and bake for like 10 mins. Then I slap the manwhich on it, and a TON of cheese, and bake till its melted. Damn im hungry now.

Sounds like a receipe that should include a difibulator in it.

Not if you use lean ground beef and lowfat cheese.

Chili Man canned Chicken and White Bean chili. Doesn't sound that good and then you taste it and go, "Wow, that's pretty damn good."

It's all about The Haystack.
One can find The Haystack at a certain 24/7 greasy spoon drunk food joint in Galesburg.
The Haystack is the following:
Layer 1: Hash Browns
Layer 2: Biscuits
Layer 3: Sausage Gravy
Layer 4: Eggs
Layer 5: Cheese
Commonly referred to as Death on a Plate, and proof of the Gravy Theory. (Everything tastes better with Gravy!)

Reminds me of the Simpsons where the family goes to church and Homer makes himself breakfast. That stick-o-butter filling in the rolled-up pancake sure makes for some tastey eat'n!

Commonly referred to as Death on a Plate,
LOL, sounds something like the "Heart Attack on a Plate" breakfast that I get at the little place up the street.
My standard order there is four eggs (scrambled) with cheese, double toast, tea (sweet, like there's any other kind), coffee, 4 strips bacon, and 2 sausage patties.
That's a little lighter than it used to be (when it was first named) because it originally included a double order of homemade hashbrowns. When those fell off the menu, it reduced the damage quite a bit.

What the hell is a 'manwich'? It sounds like something from a gay porno... which is of course why I clicked on this thread :p

One time my buddies and I put together what we eventually dubbed the "Death Dog."
Two hot dogs on a bun, topped with: two strips of bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms, chili, a slice of cheese, and a fried egg.
It's been a tradition every 4th of July holiday for the past three years. God know what would happen to our arteries if we cook this up more than once a year.
I like spam
Sandwiches made with thinly-sliced pan-fried blackened spam are the food of the gods. But you must pan-fry the spam w/o oil and on high heat using the natural goo in which the spam is packed as oil. You cook it on high heat until you caramelize, or blacken, the goo, on both sides, thus maximizing the carcinogens and the taste. Then you place it from the pan directly onto the bread. Use only mayo as a condiment, and have the mayo already spread on the bread. Eat immediately, while it is still steaming hot.

That is as nauseating as ketchup on hotdogs! :(

I routinely made the death burger at my open grill cafeteria freshman year. You could order any kind of burger/hot dog combo, and multiple times a week, I'd order my concoction...the bacon double-chili-cheeseburger with carmelized onions. It was fantastic :)
EDIT - There was actually a real pool created on when I was going to have a heart attack. I think the pot got up to 25 bucks or so...

When I worked at Damon's Clubhouse, we had a 1/2 pound cheeseburger topped with a half pound of pork pit BBQ. Talk about rediculous. And it sold well.

All of this face stuffing reminds me of when I used to order two large extra value meals at Wendy's.

By the way, some Cheeseheads may remember the Gilbert (Brown) Burger at BK. A double Whopper: two patties, 4 slices of cheese, a whole tomato, lettuce, onions, a s&^#load of mayo, and no pickles.
Nothing beats tacos a la Craptacular though.

Yes, yes I do. Actually, fry it with some eggs and put it on some toast... you've got the greatest thing since sliced bread... since you need sliced bread to eat the sandwich.

If all goes according to plan, tonight will be a MANWICH NIGHT.
