I lost most of my respect for Aerosmith a few years ago in the Super Bowl halftime show. They should have just retired then.

Steven Tyler once again flaunting his status as the ugliest man in the music industry. He looks like a cross between an ostrich and a chimpanzee with a wig on.

Make the ostrich featherless and the wig stapled to the chimp and I'm with you.

Was this a pregame performance. My Super Bowl did not feature an Aerosmith performance...

The girl on the guitar is Joe Perry's wife.

Performing at an open air event like that is tough. Hearing yourself is very hard, and the singer gets the worst end of the deal.
I have had to do it many times. You never feel good about it afterwards.

You know what was painfull? Another taped performance my a Jackson, and that Justin guy. God awful bad.

I thought they closed the roof? In part there were storm concerns, but Aerosmith had also requested that it be closed.

It is the same as open in a stadium. I was suprised they requested it closed, as I always found the echo harder in a dome than the wide open spaces. At least then the sound is just lost, and doesn't slap back at you.

I should rephrase this to read the sound techs had a hard time and not the band in general. The band wears earplug monitors, but the sound tech only has so long to dial in the sound where it sounds good.

Heard Aerosmith left Houston hours after the game ended, with the tour bus going 50mph in the left lane and the turn signal on.
