My thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones during this terrible tragedy. I can only imagine the agony and horror that poor Carlie must have gone through during her last minutes of life. I hope and pray that she is in a better place now.

As for her murderer, I hope that justice comes swiftly and severely. People who harm innocent, defenseless children are the lowest form of scum on Earth.

I guess I'm ranting, but I'm really choked up by this right now.

Not being able to comprehend how people do this kind of thing, I would say, is a good thing (for the non- police/psych types). I would hate to be able to EVER say I knew where their actions came from.

As bad as this ending is, I'm at least thankful for that surveilance video... otherwise this $*#$ would have had a fair chance at getting away with this.

Tell all of your kids no matter What!! no matter what!!! never take shortcuts!!! and never "go off" somewhere with a stranger. If they tell you they'll cut, you say, "go ahead" and run to a public place. These people are cowards and i'll bet all that hardly ever does one "cut" someone. Wail your arms about, and run screaming for help. If you leave with them odds are likely that they'll do majpor harm or kill. I think parents (im not one yet) just assume their kids know because of all the info. out there. but they dont. I hate this stuff, it drives me nuts. I hate him, but I wish she wouldve run for help...not gotten into his car, screamed, kicked, argh. When I have kids i want them to stay in their rooms.
