I once saw a huge something in the sky over Lake Sammamish State Park Bellevue, WA. If I had to guess I'd say it was northern lights, but I lived in that area for 20+ years and never saw such a thing before or since. The weird part was that the purplish/cloud/light appeared to be forming symbols. The event lasted for several minutes, then vanished.
I was with a girl at the time, and she saw it, too. We both looked at each other and went "What was that?!" Never have explained it.

Well they went about it by cramming an alien probe up my rear end. I sang Moon River...It was sureal...

It looks like everyone will just make a joke of this thread, so I'll just start off with a story that happened to me this past summer... Just a little background on me, I'm 21 years old, I cater weddings. The place I work is about an hour and a half drive for me, which is in Minnesota, and I live in Wisconsin.. Okie dokie... My story happened this past summer.
I was driving home from work with my younger brother, who's 18 years old. We had to close that night, so by the time we got out of work it was about 1:30ish.... We were about 15 minutes out of my hometown and I'm driving along on Highway 8, so it's not a backroad or anything; a pretty busy road during the daytime.
I start coming down a hill and all of the sudden...(lol)... I look up and I see a glowing silver ball. Now, I can't really tell how big it looked, but if you stick your arm out, clench your fist, that's how big it looked. My initial reaction was to duck. So I did. As I started ducking, my brother saw it too, and replied by saying, "Holy Shit!". All while this is happening, I am no longer paying any attention to the road because I can't see it anymore(I've ducked below the steering wheel). My whole body is now shivering, whatever hair that I had on my body was for sure standing up in terror. It seemed to get closer and closer, and at the last second I thought it was going to drill us, but it didn't. We passed it up, I got back up from under the steering wheel. Luckily I didn't make us go flying off the road or something.
I have never been so scared in my life. There was no way in hell that I was going to turn around and 'check it out'. We were about 15 miles out of town, and we made it home in about 5 minutes because I was shaking and wanted to get into bed. Now, it so happens my brother was outside pissing on one of my mom's plants, along with his friend who happened to dart to the backyard because he didn't know who was pulling in. We told them the story real quick, and my brothers friend could relate to seeing something like this a while back. He called it a neon silver. It's just so weird how it glowed/had a neon look to it, at 2:30 in the morning. So I don't know. I still shiver thinking about it to this day.

Now, I'm not one of those people who will stand on top of the skyscraper waving a sign that says, "TAKE ME BACK TO YOUR HOMELAND".
I was simply being sarcastic in his remarks to not taking me seriously.

Not sure how to react to that...never seen anything remotely near that so it's either true or a fabulous yarn...

Well, when we got home, my brother being drunk had a theory....A stupid one if I may add. He thinks it's a government remote controlled UFO to keep an eye on things. That's all he had to say about it. I just laughed at him and went quickly asleep since I was still pretty shaken..
Anyways.. I went to bed that night thinking real hard about what it could have been, and I could never come to any sort of realistic conclusion. Was it a prank? Probably not, since I've never seen a neon silver thing of the sort, EVER. And it was on a high way with no overhangs or anything, so it rules out any chance of being a prank.
Reflection off of something? Probably not. I live in an area where night skies are pitch dark. I don't live around any booming cities where the skies will still be partially lit up from the city itself. So there was really no chance of it being a reflection. Plus, how do you get the glowing/neon look to it? Unexplainable. Do you understand what I mean be a neon silver? I would say it was more neon than glowing. It didn't look like it glowed, but it looked like a cool, neon silver(Even though I've never heard of neon silver before).
I'll try to explain a little more on what the ball was doing... When I first saw it, my heart jumped. It looked as if it were just hovering about 20 feet above my car. It's hard to explain, but it kept looking like it was getting closer to me, yet not getting any bigger. If that makes sense. Now, I'd believe first thing that I saw an imaginary thing of some sort, if it was just me in the car(maybe not, i was pretty damn scared). But since my brother was there to see it, pretty much lets me know that thing was real. He's not one to be scared of little things like that, but he sure was.
It's hard to explain, perhaps you have a specific question???

I have kind of an amusing story. I don't hold really read anything into it other than kind of an odd coincidence...
It was a few years ago, and I was walking in to work. It was real early later at night - probably midnight or so (I was going in for inventory). I'm about halfway to work and then I saw something up in the sky. I can't really remember what it looked like, except that I remembered that it didn't look like anything "normal" - no shooting star or airplane or comet or whatever. I was anxious to get to work and see if anyone else had seen anything, or if there was any news about it.
...and by the time I got to work 10 minutes later, it had completely left my mind - not a thought at all about it happening. I didn't remember it happening until a couple years later when I was at dinner with my dad - he's a big believer in all that sort of stuff (UFOs, Atlantis, you name it) - and as the conversation headed in that direction, I suddenly, like a jolt, remembered seeing that strange thing. Except I couldn't (and still can't) remember what it was that I saw, and I was just barely able to realize that I saw "something".
Now, truthfully, I don't think there's anything more to my story than just a funny coincidence. My dad, of course, had to give me a couple of books on alien encounters (complete with memory erasing, I'm sure).

Actually that happened to me too. Except it was when I got my 2nd concussion. I dropped to one knee for what seemed like a couple of minutes, then got back up and kept running the play. I was confused as to why everyone didn't stop cause I thought I was down for a while but it had to have only been a second or two. Don't think there was anything supernatural about it tho.

When I was really I stayed at a friends house who lived on a mountain at the edge of town, we usualy slept in hammocks outside his house in the summer. One night we were laying there talking about girls and what no when we saw a huge array of lights come up over the mountain, as it rose higher and higher it became clear that is was a solid object. Im 28 now and over the years I've come to doubt myself because I was so young and the memory simply isn't as clear to me as it was in the years following the event but If you forced me to make a decision I would tell you it was a UFO.
My 2nd story is much more recent, it happened about 10 years ago. Me and a few buddies were gathered in the side parking lot of a church smoking weed as we always did on summer nights. It was around 1 in the morning when we saw a very bright but very small light over the same mountain in story 1, we didn't think much about. We continued to bullshit and smoke and drink a little when 1 of my buds mentioned that the light had moved out over the highway, we looked up and sure enough it was now out over the highway which was a good distance from where we originaly saw it. We continued to eye it and it proceeded to move east off of the highway into a parralel line with us and then move towards us, not fast, but it was moving. Now heres the thing, the cops in our town were realtivly cool, if they saw us they would disband us but if they ever found anything more than a joint then that guy was spending the night in the pokey. Without even thinking about we all walked out of the parking lot and onto Main Street (our towns main street, duh), the cops always had their cars parked in the pizza place parking lot and the gas station parking lot because that offered access to the highway and to main street if they ever got called, or they might have just been sleeping, who knows. Anyway, by going into the middle of the street they could see us clear as day, but they also saw what we were looking at cause we all had our heads pointed up to the sky. After a few minutes the cops pulled in close, but we didnt budge, and we were still passing a joint around. The cops stopped about a half a block from us and proceeded to sit there for the next 3 hours as we watched a giant ball of light dance around the evening sky. It would get close and then fade back, move from east to west and repeat, it did that all night. It was very cool but repetitive I suppose, most of us went home around 4am. By the end of the night I was sitting indian style in the middle of main street at around 5 in the morning with a couple of cops flanked on either side of me halway down the block watching the most amazing thing I had ever seen. As the sun started to rise the light seemed to fade everytime it hit its westernmost point and eventually it just dissapaeared behind the mountain and didn't come back. I had to get out of the street because traffic was starting to get heavy but it was still one the coolest things ive ever experienced and it renewed my faith in my earlier story. I'm convinced that what I saw both nights were UFO's. A few nights later I heard a teaser for the 11 O'Clock news on WNBC in NY about strange lights being reported over Jersey but I never saw the story, it's just nice to know other people saw what you saw and you hope they appreciate it the way you did.

Now, [i] that [/] I can definitely relate to as well. I've had MANY many occurances where I've had dreams that come true. Whether they be a day, week, or years later.
Seriously now, I recall, faintly, that a long time ago(in a dream, 5+ years ago), that I was on a message board talking about a football sim. Laugh all you want.
Anyhoo, on a sidenote, the most clear cut dream that came true was when my girlfriend broke up with me after she got back from vacation(the day she got back, she broke up with me.. *sniffle*.. I miss 8th grade).
Now, a more recent one. 2 falls ago, I'd have a dream over and over again with my baseball team getting KILLED in a game, and our coach(being the ass that he is to begin with) bitched us out SO BAD, like nothing before. Last spring, with like 4 losses in 30 games, ranked top 10 in the nation, we lose a game 20-0. We get our asses chewed for days and days.... and days....
Anyhoo.. 'nuf rambling.
